This is the OVW Report for the December 14, 2018 special event, Christmas Chaos!
Tonight:
-Abyss defends the Heavyweight Title against Shane "Hurricane" Helms!
-The War Kings (Crimson & Jax Dane) face the Bro Godz (Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage) for the Southern Tag Team Titles!
-Jaylee defends the Women's Title against Brittany!
-The Void, Amon, & Crazzy Steve go up against Rocco Bellagio, Randy Royal, Justin Smooth, Big Zo, & Randall Floyd!
-Plus much more!
Your announcers for tonight are Gilbert Corsey, Josh Ashcraft, & Dr. Ted McNaler, and Bruce Schneider is the ring announcer.
"The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson vs. Jay Bradley.
Jay gets Sam in the corner and chops him hard. Sam fires out, but Jay throws him into the corner. Sam kicks him and climbs up, but Jay grabs him. Sam slides off and hits an enziguri. Sam starts climbing the cage, but Jay powerbombs him down with one arm. Sam is thrown to the cage, but lands on the top rope and hits a reverse cross body. He charges Jay, but runs right into a Boomstick! Jay exits the cage, then the cell and is declared the winner.
WINNER: JAY BRADLEY.
CHRISTMAS CHAOS SCRAMBLE: "Shotgun" Tony Gunn, Dimes,"Livewire" KTD, "The Veteran" Apollo, "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson, & Jay Bradley.
All 6 are fighting with KTD laying in some jabs to Apollo and Jay decimating Sam once again. Jay tries to climb the cage, but gets powerbombed by Gunn & Apollo. Sam kicks Gunn & Jay and then hits a double missile dropkick. Apollo tries to climb, but gets double suplexed by Dimes & KTD. Dimes knocks KTD off from near the top of the cage. Dimes is left standing, but runs into a killshot from Gunn. Sam then gets one. Jay tries to run out, but Gunn pulls him away. Gunn then tries to exit, but gets pulled away. Jay hits a back body drop, but Gunn gets back up and follows him outside the cage. They fight on the outside with Gunn slamming the cage door into KTD as Sam is climbing the cage inside. Gunn takes Jay down and exits the cell to get the victory.
WINNER: TONY GUNN.
GRUDGE MATCH: Dapper Dan vs. Eddie Knight.
Dan tries to hold the cage door shut, but Eddie rams it into his head 3 times and gets in. He fires away and Dan cowers in the corner. It's to lure him in and pull him into the turnbuckle. He works Eddie over, hitting some clubbing blows. He rams Eddie back first into the side of the cage. Dan then throws him into the side of the cage head first like a dart. Eddie is knocked out cold and Dan is declared the winner. Dan throws him into the cage one more time for good measure.
WINNER: DAPPER DAN by KO.
WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH: Brittany (w/Mercy) vs. Jaylee (w/Cali & Valerie Vermin) (c).
Jaylee tries to intimidate Brittany and shoves her down. Brittany smacks her, which angers Jaylee. She kicks and stomps her. She hits her head into the turnbuckle. Brittany blocks and elbows her, but Jaylee takes her back down. Brittany gets back up and shoves her, but Jaylee grabs her by the hair. Jaylee kicks her down and clubs her in the back. She throws her into the cage. Jaylee mocks Mercy on the outside and turns into a spear from Brittany. Val & Cali try to climb in, but Mercy pulls them down. They start shoving her, but she grabs them and does a meeting of the minds, hitting their heads into each other. Jaylee is distracted by this, allowing Brittany to roll Jaylee up and get the 3!
WINNER and NEW WOMEN'S CHAMPION: BRITTANY by pinfall.
TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM LADDER MATCH: "The King of the Streets" Shiloh Jonze & DL# (w/Big D) vs. William Lutz & Ashton Cove vs. "Kings Ransom": Leonis & Maximus Khan.
DL3 & Shiloh shove Lutz & Cove toward the Kings and then try to climb up to retrieve the gold chain hanging from the top of the cage. The Kings take Cove & Lutz down, then pull DL3 & Shiloh down. Big D tries to interfere, but gets hit down. The ladders get involved with Cove getting hit into one and one falling on him. DL3 tries to climb a mini-ladder and gets shoved off. Lutz tries to climb, but gets dumped off onto another ladder. The Kings were hit with the mini ladder. Big D gets in again, and the Kings hit him with Kings Landing. The Kings go for the chain, but get shoved down, taking them down and the referee. Lutz & Cove take down Shiloh & DL3, but then are taken down by the Kings. The Kings are taken down by DL3 and the mini ladder. Lutz & Cove are back up and try to climb, but get knocked down. Cove hits Shiloh with the mini ladder. Maximus clotheslines Cove & Lutz with a ladder. Shiloh tries to climb, but is knocked down. Maximus clotheslines DL3 against the cage. He goes to take down Cove & Lutz, but they move and double dropkick it into him. Big D is back in and holds DL3 in the air, but Lutz takes them down. Lutz hits a moonsault on Shiloh on a ladder! Cove is climbing, but the mini ladder is thrown at his back, knocking him off. Leonis is climbing, but Lutz dropkicks the ladder, knocking him down, plus the ladder falls on Shiloh's head. All 6 try climbing at the same time. One ladder is taken out, leaving one ladder with Leonis & Shiloh. Shiloh is knocked off and Leonis grabs the chain!
WINNERS: KINGS RANSOM.
SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLES: "The Bro Godz": OVW Television Champion Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage vs. "The War Kings": Jax Dane & Crimson (c).
Back and forth wristlocks from Dustin & Crimson. Dustin gets Crimson in the corner and tags Colton. He throws Colton into him and Colton throws Crimson into a dropkick. They hit a double bro-plex, but before they can go for Bro 69, Jax runs in. They duck and hit them in opposite corners. The War Kings escape and take the Bros down. Jax charges at Dustin, but runs into the ringpost and falls out the cage door. Dustin follows him out, but is followed by Crimson. Crimson grabs him and throws him into the cell. Back inside, Colton is worked over. He starts to fire back and hits Jax with the Sideburn Effect. Crimson hits Colton and they deliver the Off With Their Heads on him. Dustin is finally crawling back into the ring and goes up top as Jax covers Colton. Dustin flies off with his top rope splash, but Jax moves, and Dustin splashes Colton! Crimson throws Dustin into the cage and Jax pins Colton for the 3.
WINNERS and STILL OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: WAR KINGS by pinfall.
Dustin asks Colton if they're still good. Colton hugs him, but then low blows him! He snaps, hitting Dustin with the scissor kick and saying he is the only Bro God.
HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Shane "Hurricane" Helms vs. "The Monster" Abyss (w/Nigel Winters & Houdini) (c).
Hurricane locks the door with Abyss in the ring and attacks Nigel & Houdini. He hits them into the cell, and slams them both on the floor. Hurricane fires away and works over Abyss' leg in the corner. He goes for a chokeslam, but Abyss hits him off. Hurricane hits him in the corner with the 10-count punches, but Abyss hits him on the last one and clubs him against the cage. He twists the neck in a submission. Hurricane comes back shoving Abyss into the cage, but Abyss hits him with a chokeslam for 2! Abyss goes for another, but Hurricane slides off and hits a chokeslam of his own for 2. The ring starts moving and Crazzy Steve & Amon come up through opposite corners. Hurricane tries fighting them off, but Steve hits him with a codebreaker and the ref calls for the bell. Abyss, Amon, Steve, Nigel, & Houdini continue to attack him as Dimes, Kings Ransom, & Sam Thompson run out. They try to climb into the cage, and Abyss and company finally retreat.
WINNER: HURRICANE by DQ, but STILL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: ABYSS.
RIVALRY RENEWED (WRESTLER vs. DJ): Adam Revolver (w/Shannon the Dude) vs. Tony Vanetti (w/"Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus).
STD & Melvin are handcuffed to the cage. STD's handcuffs break apart, allowing him to cheat. Adam hits Tony from behind and provokes Melvin. He suplexes him and STD hits him in the corner behind the ref's back. Tony fires back, hitting 10 punches in the corner. Adam comes back and locks in the sleeper. Tony works his way up and runs into the cage to break the hold. Vanetti runs Adam into the cage, then suplexes him. He charges at Adam, but Adam moves, and Vanetti crashes into the ref. Adam takes the key to unlock STD, even though his cuffs were already broken. STD & Adam double team Tony with the ref out. STD slaps Melvin and Melvin breaks his way off the cage. He knocks Adam out with clotheslines and then points up at STD, who is trying to climb out of the cage. Adam kicks Melvin below the belt, but Melvin had a cup in. He hits Adam with it, then Tony stuffs it in Adam's face. Tony chases down STD and pulls him in. Melvin hits him with a powerslam, then Tony hits a cross body on Adam for the 3.
WINNER: VANETTI by pinfall.
Vanetti grabs a mic and says their time is up. He says if he as a DJ took out Revolver, Shannon is next!.
10-MAN GRUDGE MATCH: Amon, Crazzy Steve, & "The Void": Chace Destiny, Nigel Winters, & Houdini vs. "The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal, "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd, "The Show Stealer" Rocco Bellagio, "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth, & Big Zo.
Weapons are attached to the cell on the outside. Entrants come in one at a time and Team OVW has the advantage against Abyss' Army. The match starts with Amon & Zo. Zo fires away and splashes Amon in the corner, then throws him in the opposite one. He hits the cartwheel butt bump and back elbows, but misses a roundhouse kick. Amon clubs him and works him over until Royal comes in. Royal hits him with a DDT, then Zo hits a cannonball in the corner. Chace enters next and clubs Royal, then Zo. Floyd is in next and hits and chops Chace in the corner. Floyd & Zo headbutt Chace. Houdini is in next and jumps on Floyd's back, but is thrown off. Zo shoves Chace's head into the cage. Houdini is now working over Royal in one corner and Smooth is in fresh. He hits Chace with a one armed powerbomb. He then hits a cutter on Houdini. Smooth has Amon up, but gets hit in the back by a fresh Nigel. Houdini is grating Floyd's head against the cage, and Nigel is choking Smooth in the ropes. Chace hits Floyd off the cage. Zo is now clubbing Houdini in the ropes. Rocco is in fresh and big boots Nigel and plunges Chace. He hits a fall away slam on Houdini. Zo shoulders Nigel in the corner and Smooth works over Amon. Team OVW is now in control with the 5-4 advantage. Steve is the last one to enter and he grabs a kendo stick to take in with him. He swings away on all 5 men, then tells his guys to go get the other weapons. Abyss' Army is now in control, using a kendo stick, garbage can, garbage can lids, and Amon brings in a bowling ball. Team OVW regains control and are using the weapons back against Abyss' Army. They are now all fighting outside the cage and inside the outer cell. Nigel is still in the ring and climbs up and dives out on most of the men. Steve & Smooth remain inside the ring fighting, where Smooth throws Steve into a garbage can in the corner. Smooth charges at him, but Steve throws the can into his head. Floyd breaks the pin, then hits the Deal Breaker on Steve. Houdini hits him from behind and gets trapped. He runs back in the ring and tries to hold the door shut. He turns into Smooth throwing a cookie sheet at him and hitting the bicycle kick for the 3!
WINNERS: TEAM OVW by pinfall.
