Post match: Riddle is walking up the ramp when Kassius Ohno hits him with a spinning elbow
- Forgotten Sons def. Raul Mendoza and Humberto Carillo
- Shayna Baszler (w/Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir) def. Dakota Kai
Post match: Baszler, Duke and Shafir attack Kai until Io Shirai makes the save.
- Tomasso Ciampa comes out and brags about his win at Takeover. He kept his promise to turn the dream into a nightmare. He is the MVP of 2018 and kids will study his work growing up. Aleister Black comes out to challenge Ciampa at Takeover Phoenix. Johnny Gargano storms out and says it isn't over between him and Black. Ciampa goads them into accepting a steel cage match against each other. Black goes to hit a Black Mass on Gargano, but Gargano escapes. Black hits a Black Mass on Ciampa instead.
Week 2:
- EC3 def. Bobby Fish.
Post match: Undisputed Era attacks EC3 until Heavy Machinery makes the save.
- Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch def. The Mighty.
- "Number 1 Contender Fatal 4 Way" Qualifying match: Mia Yim def. Reina Gonzalez
- NXT North American Championship: Ricochet def. Tyler Breeze
Week 3:
- Io Shirai and Dakota Kai def. Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir
- Dominik Dijakovic def. Aaron Mackey
- Heavy Machinery wins a squash. Undisputed Era stood on the stage to watch and taunt.
- Matt Riddle def. Kassius Ohno
Post match: Riddle offers Ohno a fist bump. Ohno teases he's going to accept, but instead viciously attacks Riddle.
Week 4
- Jaxson Ryker def. Mitch Taverna
- Number 1 Contender Fatal 4 Way: Bianca Belair def. Lacey Evans, Io Shirai, and Mia Yim to earn a title shot at Takeover: Phoenix
- NXT Tag Team Championship: Undisputed Era def. Heavy Machinery
- Steel Cage match: Johnny Gargano def. Aleister Black after Tomasso Ciampa interferes in the match. Gargano is conflicted, but ends up working with Ciampa to win the match.
