Is there any word on if Raw & Smackdown will be live on Christmas week? Are you guys in favor of that?
They will not. We are told they will do double tapings on 12/17 and 12/18 in California after the WWE TLC PPV.
What happened to Jim Ross? Did someone attack him?
No one attacked him. We are told he was leaving an event at someone's home and missed a stair, slipped and fell down. It was just an unfortunate, gruesome accident.
I was thinking about axxess and the lack of announcements and had a thought. Any word if the American Dream mall next door to MetLife which is “scheduled” to open in March may hold the event? I was looking to see if there’s a convention center space along with the mall and it seems there is with an attached hotel but I don’t think construction has started on that portion yet so I guess that’s out. But on the website they talk about hosting entertainment events within the mall. Just a thought and wondering if you heard anything about them scouting there or if it’s too risky since it isn’t even open and has been delayed like 10 years already.
There's always a possibility, but as you said, that venture has been delayed forever. I really don't see WWE putting an event on sale when the venue isn't going to be open officially (and still might not be open at the time of the event). Plus, with so many WWE events in Brooklyn, I don't see the company expecting fans to rush back and forth between NYC and North Jersey. I could be wrong, but I don't see it.
I have seen that you reported EC3 was being brought up around Summerslam but it didn't happen. Why is that only coming out now?
I never reported that. I said, in a Mailbag audio discussing potential call-ups after Survivor Series, that my gut feeling was EC3 may have been brought up after Summerslam but that concussion prevented it. He had lost a big bout. He had no future stories. He's not had a major TV role since. All the clues are there. BUT, I never reported that as fact. I speculated on that and made it clear no one had told me that as a factual statement, but I was going on my gut. What you read elsewhere was a waste of your time and I'd advise you not to read outlets that are going to incorrectly translate what was actually said. I saw some old Japanese wrestling footage where two wrestlers were supposed to be R2-D2 and C-3P0. How did this happen, how often and was there any fallout?
It was in All Japan and I only know of the one match that floats around online. I don't believe there was any fallout, likely because communucation traveled differently back then.
