A contingent of WWE stars including The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Shawn Michaels are slated to be having dinner with representatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia tonight. WWE stars have been doing media appearances in the country today to promote Crown Jewel
Add Lio Rush to the list of names who have traveled over for the Crown Jewel.
Renee Young has been brought to Saudi Arabia to work on the broadcast team for the event. She would be the first woman brought over by the company to work a WWE event there. We are told that Young has been given special travel arrangements and accomodations while she is in the country and will not be traveling with the rest of the roster. Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported that Young would be working the event. It will be interesting to see if they have Young in front of the audience or if her appearing on the show means the announcers will be placed somewhere else in the venue.
Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton are also there to work on the broadcast team. With Young commentating, it may be that Saxton is handling interviews.
Greg Hamilton has been brought in to ring announce. At one point, Mike Rome was slated to travel overseas but we are told he did not make the trip.
Michael Hayes, Billy Kidman, John Laurinaitis, Adam Pearce and Ranjin Singh have been brought over to produce the show.
John "Big" Gaburick has been in Saudi Arabia for over a month working on the production planning and logistical end of the show.
