Before WWE Evolution went on the air, NXT UK Champion Rhea Ripley defeated Dakota Kai at the Nassau Coliseum. The match took place at 6:45 PM, which means the Kickoff broadcast was taped in advance.
No word whether the match will be incorporated into a future episode of NXT or NXT UK.
At one point, there were plans to have Isla Dawn challenge for the title.
