SPOILER: POPULAR INDEPENDENT STAR TO DEBUT FOR IMPACT WRESTLING

By Mike Johnson on 2018-10-16 18:17:00

Jordynne Grace, one of the most popular and well liked independent female stars, will make her Impact Wrestling debut tonight during tonight's TV taping in New York City at the Melrose Ballroom.  Grace has been a regular in Beyond Wrestling and Women's Wrestling Revolution, among other promotions in recent years after initially breaking into the business in the Texas area.

Grace had a great showing for herself, including facing off with current X-Division Champion Brian Cage at the 9/1 "All In" Over the Budget Battle Royal.

Our own Paul Crockett, in his February 2018 column GENERATION NEXT: SIX INDEPENDENT STARS READY TO BREAK THROUGH, profiled Grace.  Here is that profile:

Most 21-year olds in the business are just starting out.  Jordynne Grace, however, has already put seven years under her belt.

Starting at the age of 14 and already having travelled and worked extensively throughout Texas, Georgia and Mexico, Grace made the move to the northeast a few years ago and has quickly become one of the most popular stars of Beyond Wrestling, one of the biggest independent companies in New England.

"Her in-ring ability is wise beyond her years," said Beyond owner Drew Cordiero.  "She is 21 years old and can already captivate an entire audience."

After initially seeing her at studio tapings in conjunction with other promotions throughout the northwest, Cordiero was willing to give her a chance.  He knew right away that he had a special talent on his hands.

Having been able to see a great number of her Beyond matches in person, her blend of pure strength mixed with athleticism, as well as being able to tell a story in the ring have helped her connect with the Beyond audience in a way that make her matches a must see.  No matter if it's an intergender bout or working against her fellow women, when Grace is on the show, you know you're going to get an entertaining and enthralling experience.

"I think she has the potential to be one of the greatest women wrestlers of all-time," Corderio added.  "She's such a unique person.  When you watch NXT and they talk about all the experience Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne have at such a young age, she has a chance to be on that level or greater in a few years."
