The second episode of Ring Warriors will air tomorrow at 8 AM Eastern/7 Central on WGN America, featuring Impact Champion Austin Aries defending the Impact title, Alexander Hammerstone vs. Damien Drake, Nicole Savoy (managed by Alison Danger) vs Melissa Anderson and in tag team action The 1% vs. The Slambinos. A manager, Joseph E. Nelson, will also be appearing. The E. is a reference to James E. Cornette.
Ring Warriors will be taping at the Sam's Club Casino on 10/10 and 10/11 in Las Vegas with New Japan's Lance Archer, Killer Kross, Douglas James, Heather Monroe and Wildkat Wrestling's Matt Lancie and J. Spade all debuting. Austin Aries will be returning. Some of the talents from the initial taping will return as well as the plan is to cycle talents over the course of the different tapings to keep things fresh.
Austin Aries, as the company storylines go, has invested into the company so he'll be an antagonist with political clout and power on the TV show.
Alison Danger, one of the original ROH roster talents, is working here as a manager and agenting the women's matches. It's great to see Danger popping up in TV here leading her stable as well.
There was an obviously bad botch with a referee last week during the women's bout, so bad I am shocked it aired on TV and given that it aired, they are going to have to address it going forward, right? Right?
There are plans in place to crown as Ring Warriors Grand Champion down the line.
