PWInsider.com has exclusively confirmed that WWE Hall of Famer and former WWE Champion Adam "Edge" Copeland has been booked by WWE to appear on the 10/23 Smackdown 1000 broadcast from Washington, DC. No word yet on what his role on the broadcast may be.
Copeland, who officially retired in 2012, the same year he was inducted into the company's Hall of Fame, was a central figure on Smackdown during the company's initial brand split. Copeland and his storyline brother Christian recently completed the second season of their WWE Network series, which will debut later this year.
WWE will obviously be bringing in a number of other stars from the past of Smackdown to the 10/23 broadcast on the USA Network. More as we confirm them.
