MLW FUSION REPORT: LOW KI VERSUS JOHN HENNIGAN, THE TEAMS FOR WAR GAMES REVEALED, AND MORE

Tonight’s show starts with a graphic In Memory of Jim Neidhart.

We take a look at the number one contender match from last week between John Hennigan and Teddy Hart.  Low Ki says there are many people around the world challenging for the title.  Tonight, it will be John Hennigan’s chance.

We are in New York, New York and your announcers are Matt Striker and Tony Schiavone.

We take a look at an interview with ACH and Rich Swann.  The New Hart Foundation shows up and Teddy says that he sees nothing but hate.

Swann says they are a bunch of haters and they will see them in the ring.

Match Number One:  Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr. (with Brian Pillman) versus Rich Swann and ACH)

Before ACH and Swann get to the ring, The New Hart Foundation asks for the playing of the Canadian National Anthem.  They are interrupted by ACH’s music.

ACH and Smith start things off and they lock up.  Smith sends ACH to the mat and ACH is impressed with Smith’s strength.  They lock up again and Smith with a side head lock and take down.  ACH with a head scissors but Smith escapes.  Smith pie faces ACH a few times and ACH with a chop and shoulder tackle but it has no effect.  ACH goes to the mat when he tries for another shoulder tackle.  ACH with a drop kick to the thigh but Smith with a shoulder tackle.  Smith with a slam.

Hart tags in and ACH rolls to his corner to tag in Swann.  Swann flips into the ring.  They lock up and Hart with a side head lock.  Hart goes for Rings of Saturn but Swann rolls Hart up for a near fall.  Hart with a wrist lock and arm wringer.  Hart with an arm wringer.  Swann with a reversal.  Hart uses the ropes to try to reverse the hold and he succeeds.  Swann with a drop kick.

Hart with punches and a European uppercut.  Hart sends ACH to the floor.  Hart with a power slam for a near fall.  Hart with a chop in the corner followed by a knee.  Hart with a punch and the referee warns Swann.  Swann with an Irish whip and Hart with a sunset flip for a near fall but ACH with a boot to Hart.  Smith with a boot to ACH and Smith sends ACH to the floor. 

Smith slams Swann onto ACH on the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see ACH with a flip kick to Hart.  ACH with forearms to Smith to send him to the floor.  Pillman checks on Smith .  Swann with a jumping Frankensteiner and Swann goes to the turnbuckles for a frog splash and he gets a near fall.  ACH kicks Smith when he tries to interfere. 

ACH sets for the Sharpshooter and he takes his time applying it and he applies it on Hart.  Smith with a boot to the head and then Smith sends ACH to the floor.  Pillman crotches Swann with his cane and Swann falls from the turnbuckles to the mat.  Hart with an Electric Chair lungblower for the three count.

Winners:  Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Teddy Hart

We go to the War Games Control Center with Matt Striker.  Matt runs through the rules for War Games.

Also at War Games, the winner of tonight’s MLW Title Match will defend the title at War Games.  Also on the show, PCO will face Brody King.

We find out that the next member of Shane Strickland’s team and they are joined by John Hennigan.  He talks about War Games and he says he is looking forward to his match against Low Ki and he mentions that Shane Strickland gave him an update on his game plan.  Shane is told that Abyss will be on Sami Callihan’s team.

Sami Callihan, Sawyer Fulton, Leon Scott, and Jimmy Havoc attack Shane Strickland, Kotto Brazil, and Barrington Hughes.  Tommy Dreamer comes in with a kendo stick to help Strickland, Brazil, and Hughes.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see John Hennigan recovering from the attack we saw before the commercial.

Konnan is with Pentagon Jr. and Fenix.  Konnan says Salina played herself.  You tried to put her boys under some oppressive conditions.  Fenix says they are free.   
We go to the Jungle MMA Gym where the Stud Stable and Team Filthy are going to continue their feud. 

Hager and the referee enter the cage and then the rest of the Stud Stable show up and they want to know if Tom is ready for a fight.

Tom says he is ready and he appears to be ready to face Jake Hager.  Jake says it will be Lawlor and Mike Parrow.

Match Number Two:  Tom Lawlor versus Mike Parrow in an MMA Rules Match

Lawlor with punches but Parrow pushes Lawlor.  Parrow with a front face lock to count Lawlor’s attempt to go for the legs.  Lawlor gets Parrow up.  Parrow with forearms as he mounts Lawlor.  Lawlor with a triangle but Parrow picks up Lawlor and sends him into the cage.  Parrow with a cross body into the cage and punches.  Lawlor with punches and he goes for the legs but Parrow blocks it and applies a front face lock.

Lawlor holds on to the ceiling to hit a rana.  Lawlor goes for a kimura but he cannot get the arm in position.  Lawlor with an arm bar and Parrow taps out.

Winner:  Tom Lawlor

Lawlor refuses to release the hold and threatens to break Parrow’s arm.

We see Seth Petruzelli down after being attacked by Patrick and Brien. 

Low Ki and Salina de la Renta are asked about Low Ki’s match against John Hennigan. 

Low Ki says this man has lucked into his position to have a championship match.  Low Ki says before reality sets in, he will punish John.  Tonight, you are the first sacrificial lamb.  Whatever you need to do, crawl back underground where you belong.  What he will do, you will never forget.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three:  John Hennigan versus Low Ki (with Salina de la Renta) for the MLW Heavyweight Championship

They both tease kicks before locking up.  They lock up and Hennigan backs Ki into the corner and Ki goes to the turnbuckles and applies a triangle in the ropes.  Ki returns to the ring and Hennigan goes for the leg and he takes Ki to the mat.  Hennigan gets a near fall.  Hennigan works on the ankle. 

Ki gets a near fall.  Hennigan throws his bandana at Ki and Ki catches it and puts it on.  They go for a test of strength and Hennigan with an arm bar.  Ki with a head scissors and Hennigan escapes.  They return to the test of strength.  Ki tries to take down Hennigan but Hennigan bridges.   Ki gets Hennigan down and gets a near fall but Hennigan bridges.  Ki with a cross arm breaker but Hennigan holds on to his hands to keep Ki from applying the hold properly.

Hennigan with a leg sweep and Ki goes down.  Hennigan goes for the leg and Ki with a guillotine.  Hennigan gets to the ropes to force Ki to release the hold.  They go for another test of strength but Ki with kicks to the chest.  Ki with a chop and head butt.  Ki with an elbow to the top of the head.  Hennigan with a back breaker and he gets a near fall.  Hennigan with a knee to the midsection.  Ki with an Irish whip but Hennigan goes to the apron and then he kicks Ki in the head.  Ki kicks Hennigan when John goes for a springboard move and Hennigan falls to the floor.   Ki slams Hennigan on the floor.  The referee starts his count but Ki goes to the floor and he chops Hennigan against the guardrails.  Ki with another chop and he gets a near fall.  Ki with a figure four head scissors.  Hennigan is able to escape.  Hennigan catapults Ki into the turnbuckles but Ki lands on the turnbuckles and hits a double stomp for a near fall.

Ki with a kick to the midsection.  Ki with a head butt and then he gets a near fall.  Ki with a waist lock to work on the injured ribs.  Hennigan gets out of the hold and he kicks Ki in the leg.  Hennigan goes for a suplex but Ki blocks it and he drops Hennigan on the top rope.  Ki gets a near fall.

Ki with an abdominal stretch.  Ki with a head butt and he kicks Hennigan in the midsection.  Hennigan runs into a boot from Ki but Hennigan with a spinning back heel kick.  Hennigan runs Ki into the turnbuckles and then connects with kicks.  Hennigan blocks a kick and sends Ki into the ropes and kicks Ki and hits a sliding German suplex.  Hennigan goes up top but he misses a corkscrew splash when Ki moves.  Hennigan lands on his feet and he gets a near fall after a kick.

Hennigan sets for Starship Pain but Ki stops Hennigan.  Ki with a Dragon sleeper in the ropes.  Ki gets a near fall.  Ki kicks Hennigan in the ribs and he connects with elbows to the ribs.  Ki goes for a Ki Crusher but Hennigan escapes and Hennigan hits a Spanish Fly for a near fall.  Hennigan with a Shining Wizard and then he goes for Starship Pain but misses when Ki moves.  Ki goes up top for a double stomp and he hits it.  Ki gets a near fall.  Ki with the Switchblade Kick for the three count.

Winner:  Low Ki (retains Championship)
