This match between John Cena and Batista happened in 2010 at Over the Limit. It was an "I Quit" match where John Cena was defending his WWE Championship against Batista.
Both wrestlers made full use of their respective moves. Batista refused to submit after Cena applied STFU, instead he used his Spinebuster and Batista Bomb to break Cena's resolve. However, Cena was far from yielding his WWE Championship and had a lot of energy left.
When Batista did not yield even after Cena used his Attitude Adjustment, he hoisted Batista over his shoulders and threatened to launch The Animal onto the entrance ramp. Batista screamed "I Quit", yet Cena put him through the floor anyway.
3- John Cena vs Brock Lesnar (Extreme Rules 2012)
In 2012, Brock Lesnar made his comeback to the WWE after suffering once more from diverticulitis. By then, he had retired from the MMA and was fully focused on making a name for himself in the WWE.
John Cena and Brock Lesnar faced each other at the Extreme Rules in 2012. Brock Lesnar dominated in that match for most of the time and at one point he almost submitted Cena on the steel steps. This match between John Cena and CM Punk is considered one of the most important matches in the history of the WWE. Though Cena lost his WWE championship in that match, he displayed an excellence which could not be matched by anyone else.
In this match, we also saw McMahon and John Laurinaitis trying to screw CM Punk out of the title. However, John Cena did not join in their treachery. Instead, he attacked John Laurinaitis. This gave CM Punk an opportunity and so he hit a GTS to become the new WWE Champion. Cena lost the title, however, he gave a full display of his wrestling prowess to the fans.
