Several weeks back on his podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler noted that he believed WWE would be paying their female talents who were not working The Greatest Royal Rumble as if they had worked the show. PWInsider.com has confirmed independently that WWE is indeed doing that.
WWE filed a motion on 4/27 in the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida seeking to have the company dismissed as a defendant in the lawsuit brought against them and WWE performer Thaddeus "Titus O'Neil" Bullard by cameraman Donald Anderson, who has alleged he was injured by Bullard during filming of the WWE Network series Swerved. WWE is arguing that the courts in Florida hold no jurisdiction over the company as they are headquartered there. Anderson is suing both Bullard and WWE for Battery, Assault, Willful Misconduct, Negligence, Gross Negligence, Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress and Negligent Infliction of Emotional Distress, claiming that he has faced "bodily injury, pain and suffering, mental anguish, extreme emotional distress, disfigurement, medical expenses, physical handicap, loss of income, loss of the capacity for enjoyment of life and loss of ability to earn money." Bullard has not yet filed a reponse to the lawsuit before the court in Florida. He had successfully lobbied for the lawsuit to be removed from California and brought to the Sunshine State, where he resides.
