PWInsider.com is very sad to report the passing of Terry Martin Simms, who wrestled under the ring name Terry Garvin as one half of the Beauty and the Beast tag team in the USWA in the early 1990s before working for the Global Wrestling Federation under the same name. Simms played an effeminate character (playing partially off of the fact that he looked like Jimmy Garvin). He later changed his ring name to reflect his given name, working as Terry Simms after the original performer to use the Terry Garvin name was embroiled in a number of allegations during his time working as an official for the WWF.
While the circumstance of his passing are not yet know, Simms passed away yesterday at the age of 55 in his native Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
During his time in the GWF, Simms held both the Light Heavyweight championship and the Tag Team championship. He wrestled regularly in the Dallas area through the late 1990s. In recent years, Simms had been doing a podcast about his time in the business.
