Triple H has said that he was scared that Daniel Bryan would leave World Wrestling Entertainment, WWE, to grapple elsewhere –anywhere, even the boxing ring.
During his rounds of interviews at ESPN, Triple H spoke about Bryan’s in-ring clearance for WWE, and noted that the pro-wrestler was getting as prepared as best he could before getting the authorisation he needed.
Bryan Was Making Sure He Was Ready
Triple H spoke of there being a point in time where Bryan was not cleared by WWE, but would have received clearance from his squad, and Triple H stated that he was positive that at that point Bryan would already have started training as hard as he could.
Maybe not taking bumps, he explained, but getting ready, doing the things that needed doing in order for Bryan to get back into shape in case he did get cleared, as punters who enjoy the matches via various betting apps waited eagerly for him to step into the ring.
While the WWE was making sure he went to extra doctors, and ran additional tests to make sure that everything was ok, Bryan was already deep in preparation.
Taking Risks is Part of the Job
Before Bryan got to the point where he could get back in the ring, Triple H spoke of hoping that the fighter wouldn’t just throw his hands up in the air about the whole situation, and leave the WWE to head elsewhere and get wrestling.
Triple H stated that part of him was really scared that, while all of this was going down, that Bryan would simply walk, saying forget it, and go on to wrestle for someone who didn’t care as much, and didn’t put fighters’ health and conditioning first.
Triple H stated that nobody goes to the lengths that WWE does in order to ensure wrestlers’ safety, and that, should Bryan have done that, he would’ve been risking his life, and putting his wife and kids continued well-being on the line, including that of his baby.
Triple H Talks WrestleMania 30
Triple H also discussed his WrestleMania Match 30 against Bryan, and talked about how it eventually lead to the fighter becoming a Champion of the WWE. Triple H spoke of putting pressure on himself to lose, for the first time, and more than he had ever done in order to win, because he truly wanted Bryan to have his big moment.
He went on to say that he had sat back and watched that story’s evolution, over the long period of time in which it unfolded, and, from a standpoint of being behind the scenes, he was right alongside Bryan every step of the way.
He said they both knew that, although it wasn’t the plan right at that moment, it was where they both needed to go.
Triple H explained that, when they got to that moment, when he was in the ring facing Bryan, he had no idea how it would all work out. But, looking back, and seeing how it all came together, and the fact that he was there alongside Bryan it turned out just like a fairytale!
