WWE issued the following statement to PWInsider.com this morning regarding Jeff Hardy's 3/10 arrest in Concord, NC, right outside of Charlotte:
"Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials."
As PWInsider.com first broke last night, Hardy, 40-years old, was arrested at 10:20 PM on 3/10 at 4545 Concord Pkwy South. He was released a little over an hour later at 11:24 PM. He is slated to appear in Cabarrus County Court on 4/16 and has had his driver's license revoked for at least 30 days as a result of the arrest.
CBSSports.com is reporting that the accident report for the incident leading to Hardy's arrest for Driving While Impaired states that Hardy "was driving northbound on Concord Parkway when he allegedly "ran off the roadway ... striking about 105 feet of guardrail before the back end of the car spun out 90 degrees ... coming to rest in the middle of the right [north]bound lane of travel."
Their report also stated that it was estimated by police that Hardy caused $8,000 of damage to his 2016 Cadillac and $5,000 to the guardrail itself.
Meanwhile, overnight it appeared that Jeff's brother Matt commented on the matter, although within the context of his "Woken" WWE personality:
EVAH since the #7Deities have come to me, I do not put alcohol, drugs, or foreign substances into my VESSEL.
