Roman Reigns looks set to take Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship

On Sunday, February 25, Raw’s Elimination Chamber will take place, deciding exactly which superstar will have the chance to strip Brock Lesnar of the coveted Universal Championship title. The contenders for the Men’s Elimination Chamber have mostly been decided, with just one more battle to decide the sixth participant in the contest.

One of those contenders is Roman Reigns, the current star of the WWE. People have been very mixed about Reigns’ rise to the top, with much of the crowd giving him a mixed or bad reception at his events. But, despite this, he looks to be on track to win the greatest of all Men’s titles at WrestleMania 34.

Who could stop Reigns in the Elimination Chamber?

A WrestleMania 34 that sees the all mighty Brock Lesnar take on the WWE heel in Roman Reigns would be as exciting as free money for WWE fans. Love Reigns or hate Reigns, this would be the pinnacle of wrestling right now. The battle between these two behemoths on the biggest stage would be like that created in a game. Something along the lines of the slot Gladiators Gold, with the two going toe to toe in a huge arena, and it would likely result in a big win for the challenger, as can occur in Roman Riches, a slot game which can be played with free bets available at nodeposit.ca.

John Cena, Braun Strowman, Elias, Roman Reigns, The Miz, and one other are set to go all-out to secure their shot at Brock Lesnar. The second-chance qualifier to decide that final participant will be between Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, Matt Hardy, and Apollo Crews. While the return of the Hardy brothers was met with huge applause in 2017, Finn Balor looks to capitalizeon his feud with Matt Hardy by conquering him and all others in this final qualifier to join the final battle in the Elimination Chamber.

Roman Reigns, historically, has done rather well against his combatants in the Elimination Chamber. Reigns has fought alongside and defeated Cena on many occasions; he has a strong record against Strowman but was defeated in their most recent matchup; The Miz has caused Reigns some problems in recent times; Reigns lost in a six-person tag match against Finn Balor’s team; and he has lost his only one on one match against Elias.

The biggest threats in this match would appear to be Strowman and Cena, which should see him win in the Elimination Chamber and gain passage to Lesnar. As Lesnar has effectively destroyed all which has laid in his path, and Reigns achieves the highest amount of merchandise sales for a full-time wrestler, it makes sense that Lesnar would pass the torch to Reigns.

Roman Reigns: The Heel

One of the main reasons why Roman Reigns has risen to such prominence is because of the crowd’s reaction to the 6’4’’ Samoan every time he enters the area. It may be a wall of boos, but it’s still a visceral reaction which entertains the fans. Triple H believes that , despite the outcry to turn Reigns heel, he already is the heel – just not the traditional, cut and dry version that the franchise is more accustomed to.

Triple H has been very clever with the rise of Reigns, with the promotion’s superstar garnering the biggest reaction at every event. If Roman Reigns were to headline alongside Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship title in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome (a 76,000-plus arena) it could create one of the best atmospheres of all time.
