A number of readers have asked about the status of WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross' podcast, The Ross Report, as it has been removed from Podcastone. We are told that Ross' deal with the podcast platform expired several weeks back and a new deal was not reached based on what had been offered. Ross retained ownership of the 200+ shows he recorded and is working on bringing the podcast back on a new platform, but nothing has been set in stone yet. Chris Jericho recently left the Podcastone platform as well. There were allegations levied last year that the platform had ordered an exec to inflate download numbers in order to garner more money from advertisers. which founder Norm Pattiz has denied.
Ross will present his first "Slobberknocker Sessions" event next Sunday 1/28 at 12 PM in Philadelphia, PA prior to that evening's WWE Royal Rumble PPV event. The event will take place at the Diamond Club inside Citizens Bank Ballpark (home of the Phillies), which is within walking distance of the Wells Fargo Center, the host venue for Rumble. The event will feature a Q&A with Ross as well as a book signing for Ross' excellent autobiography Slobberknocker. There will be an exclusive VIP ticket for $75 which includes the Q&A, a copy of Ross' book and an intimate signing and photo with Ross (on your camera) which will only be open to 100 fans total. I've been to a number of Ross events over the years and they are always unique and fun, especially the irreverent Q&Aa. For more details, click here.
