Former WCW and NWA champion Jeff Jarrett officially returned to the ring for the first time since completing his rehab program last night as part of a half-time event for the Memphis Grizzlies basketball team where Jarrett wrestled longtime foe Jerry Lawler, defeating Lawler to become the Memphis Grizzlies Wrestling champion:

After the match, NFL star DeAngelo Williams (who wrestled for Impact Wrestling last year) hit the ring with team mascot the Memphis Grizzly, defeating Jarrett to win the belt (thus keeping Jarrett from leaving and taking a Memphis title back to Nashville):
Score wasn't what we wanted, but @DeAngeloRB & @Grizz are a tag team for the ages.

Jarrett completed a WWE-sponsored rehab that he entered last year after Impact Wrestling cut their ties with him. Jarrett had taken a leave of absence prior to Impact publicly announcing they had terminated their relationship with him.
Jarrett has retained the rights and ownership to his Global Force Wrestling promotion.
