On the latest edition of The National Wrestling Alliance's Ten Pounds of Gold, the series documents the NWA title returning to the 2300 (fka ECW) Arena in Philadelphia, where Shane Douglas threw the title down, rejecting it in favor of naming the ECW title a World championship. The story is that Tommy Dreamer invited champion Tim Storm to House of Hardcore in Philly. Interestingly, Douglas, who was on the HOH show, declined the chance to appear on the episode:
The NWA also ran an angle where Tennessee independent talent Josephus confronted Billy Corgan in the recording studio after it was announced that NWA champion Tim Storm would be appearing at Championship Wrestling from Hollywood this Saturday:
