Former WWE Divas and NXT champion Paige made her long-awaited return on Raw tonight, coming out to cut a promo during a four way match meant to determine the top contender to Alexa Bliss' Raw Women's championship. Paige came out playing to the crowd before announcing that she was back, but she didn't come alone.
Paige had not appeared for WWE since the summer of 2016, when she was suspended for the first of two infractions under the WWE Wellness Policy. Since that time, she had also undergone neck surgery and was involved in, for lack of a better word, a tumultuous relationship with Alberto el Patron.
It was not Alberto who joined her on Raw, but two WWE NXT talents who were part of the 2014 season of Tough Enough, which Paige judged. Joining her were Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose. Deville, 24, real name Daria Rae Berenato is a former MMA fighter who was associated with Maria Menounos' Afterbuzz TV before competing in Tough Enough.
Rose, 26, real name Amanda Saccomanno was a fitness model from the New York area who went to the finals of the reality competition before losing to eventual winner Sara Lee. Rose was immediately signed to a developmental deal and actually outlasted Lee, who was later released. She has previously appeared on a season of Total Divas but until tonight, had not appeared on the main roster.
