This was the first time WWE went to the campus of UT-Arlington for a live event. Typically they do live events at the much bigger American Airlines Center in Dallas (where they would do TV and PPV as well). I really hope they stick to UTA for live events now because it was so much better. It's a 6500 venue, but it feels more intimate than that. I'd say the crowd was probably 4500 or so but it was LOUD and the acoustics made it that much better. Great venue and hope they realize this is where they need to do live events.
Finn Balor defeated Karl Anderson (w/Luke Gallows) - Bray Wyatt was advertised since day one as taking on Finn, but was not at the show.
R-Truth, Apollo Crews, Heath Slater & Rhyno defeated Goldust, Elias, Dash Wilder, & Darren Young - Mostly a comedy match. I've seen some form of this match three times this year & each time, Goldust runs away from R-Truth to the back and Apollo picks up the win for his team.
Enzo Amore defeated Mustafa Ali in a non-title match - Enzo cut the most confusing promo of all time as he starts with his "My name is..." babyface speech, then proceeds to rip on Arlington & refuses to put his title on the line, thus confirming he's a heel, and then goes back to babyface with the SAWFT portion and letting the crowd finish it.
Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose retained the Raw Tag Titles against The Bar - Pure greatness from these 4 as you would expect.
Alexa Bliss retained the Raw Women's Title against Sasha Banks, Mickie James, & Nia Jax in a Fatal 4 Way after she pinned Sasha. Alexa gets better looking every day.
Matt Hardy & Jason Jordan defeated The Miz and Curtis Axel - TONS of "Delete!" chants. Most started by Hardy himself. He's cut his hair and put more of the platinum blonde streak in, so a sign of things to come? He was very much encouraging the persona.
Roman Reigns defeated Braun Strowman in a Last Man Standing match - The most basic LMS match you could ever have, but these guys made it work and the crowd was red hot for it. Roman got split reaction when he came out, but by the time the bell rung, it was 80/20 in his favor. Spear through a table and Bruan was up to one foot at 9 1/2, but fell down and Roman won.
Truthfully one of the most fun live events I've been to. Finn Balor had the biggest pop by far, Matt Hardy, & The Shield guys behind him. The Miz had the most heat and there wasn't even a close second. He was gold.
