The New York Daily News reported this morning that WWE's Shane McMahon invested $500,000 into EnviroGrow, a Connecticut-based company that sells the modules that assist in marijuana growth in states where it is legal.
McMahon made the investment in 2015, but the story broke today with the idea that the son of Linda McMahon, a member of President Donald Trump's cabinet (which includes Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who wants a harder line stance on marijuana) has invested into that world.
McMahon actually filed a lawsuit in 2015 after visiting its headquarters in Colorado, only to find the company's manufacturing plant "non-existent", according to the story. When the company refused to return his investment, McMahon filed a lawsuit. That suit is ongoing.
Linda McMahon's office did not respond to requests for comment on the story.
