In the event WWE Network survey, they mentioned possibly having audio discussion shows, which got me thinking. If they approached you and asked you to bring the We Don't Need No Stinkin' Name Show to the WWE Network, would you consider it if you could keep it in the current format and not be subject to their executive meddling?
Like Vince McMahon says, in business when someone credible approaches you, you listen. So, we would listen. With that said, my most important priority is to this site and to Elite members, like yourself. You pay your hard earned money to keep us in business, which is not an easy thing to do as we have seen in the last week when two large, corporately owned sites have let many of the wrestling people go. If there were a way to bring our programming to the Network AND help the Elite site, I would absolutely consider it. But to be clear, it would have to benefit PWInsider Elite as well.
Just wondering how long Alicia Fox has been in WWE? I remember when she first appeared, she was Edge's wedding planner. But I don't remember when that was. Since she has almost always been just enhancement talent, I was just wondering why she is not included with all the other women.
She debuted in June of 2008, so she has been there for 9 years. She came in at a time when women in WWE were models. Then the women’s revolution happened. She has worked to get better, which I respect.
Your webpage always has listings of indy wrestling shows but I'm surprised you don't have someone who covers weekly shows on a regular basis. I mention this because I subscribe to a newsletter out of Australia that covers various indy groups. I'm not talking EVOLVE or something like that. So my question is, why not have someone like him do a recap of certain smaller indy groups's weekly tv shows that are on Youtube?
We cover indies on PWInsiderXtra.com. The fact of the matter is we can see what gets clicked on the site storewide and indies get very few clicks. It makes much more sense for us to dedicate our time and resources to the things that people want to read. Spending hours recapping indy shows just doesn’t monetize for us.
Something I've noticed on Impact lately is that they've started censoring the language. Why script the word "ass" into several promos only to then bleep it out on a TV-14 show?
For a company that bought the name TNA Impact, then changed it to a name that they didn’t own in Global Force Wrestling, only to now change it back……..well I just stopped asking questions when they do goofy things. I have come to just expect them.
So in WWE's response to the promo that THEY wrote for Jinder Mahal to the Washington Post, they did not at all apologize for it at all. No matter how you view it, the promo had racist comments. How can they justify this (especially with today's political climate) in the least bit, when in the past, they've quickly apologized for JBL doing the Nazi salute in Germany, Jericho kicking the Brazilian flag, etc.? And those incidents weren't in the script. This time, it's WWE purposefully writing those racist comments. Seems like recently they are following society norms in letting hate slide. They even just had at US and Bulgarian flags disrespected in a match and never apologized for that offending people. What are your opinions on this?
After reading their statement all I can say is that it appears that they did not feel the promo “went too far”. Since they didn’t feel it did, they won’t apologize for it. To me, any racially charged promo is building off of cheap heat. I don’t like it and never have.
