We start off with a look back at the match that gave us Jinder Mahal versus Randy Orton for the WWE Title.
We are in London, United Kingdom and your announcers are John Layfield, Byron Saxton, and Tom Phillips.
Randy Orton makes his way to the ring and he has something to say.
Randy says he did not lose at Payback because of Bray Wyatt. He did not lose because of that refrigerator. He lost because Jinder Mahal stuck his nose in things. To become champion, you have to win a match.
Jinder Mahal's music interrupts and he comes to the stage with the Singhs.
He did not steal anything, he simply took what he is going to win at Backlash. He has already taken his promotional pictures with the title belt. He tells Randy to take a look at the future. At Backlash he will win the title and he will take it back to his people. He will wear it proudly in the Taj Mahal. India will erect a statue in his likeness to honor him. You will no longer disrespect his homeland and you will no longer disrespect him. At Backlash, a new age will begin. The Age of the Maharajah. He will speak to his people in Punjabi.
Kevin Owens' music plays and the Face of America makes his presence known in the United Kingdom.
Kevin says they need to stop this crap now. No one cares about the House of Horrors. No one cares about India. Kevin says no one cares about the United Kingdom either. All you need to worry about is the United States Champion and the Face of America. Not only did he win back his title last week, he ended Chris Jericho's career. That means no more Y2J, stupid idiots, drinking it in, or lists. He could not last two hours on Smackdown due to him. At Backlash, he will end another career and it will be AJ Styles'.
When he is done, he will not only be the United States Champion or the New Face of America, Kevin says he will be coming after that title. Kevin says he will become the Face of WWE. Kevin repeats himself because the people are not listening. Kevin says he will repeat it in French.
AJ Styles' music plays and he makes his way to the stage.
AJ says here we go again and he tells Kevin everyone knows how delusional he is. AJ says this is not Backlash, this is Smackdown, the House that AJ Styles Built. You can keep bragging about what you did to Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho is no AJ Styles and neither is Kevin Owens. AJ says that Kevin will never become the face of Smackdown.
Baron Corbin's music plays and he says you have forgotten one important . . .
Sami Zayn attacks Corbin from behind and then Orton punches Corbin in the ring. Orton goes for an IEDDT on Mahal but The Singhs make the save.
We go to commercial.
We are back and James Ellsworth is in the ring with Carmella and Tamina Snuka. James tells everyone they do not deserve to be on the same level as them. Carmella introduces Natalya.
Naomi comes out and she introduces Becky Lynch.
Before the match starts, Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring. Charlotte says she does not need anyone to introduce her because she does not need an introduction.
Match Number One: Natalya versus Becky Lynch
They lock up and Becky goes for the arm but Natalya goes to the ropes and then to the floor. Becky with a baseball slide to Natalya to knock her off the apron. Natalya pulls Becky to the floor and runs her into the apron. Natalya with a suplex and she cheers for herself. Natalya sends Becky back into the ring and snap mares Becky and hits a drop kick to the back. Natalya with a forearm to the back and an abdominal stretch. Becky with a hip toss to escape followed by forearms. Natalya pushes Becky away and Becky with clotheslines and a drop kick.
Becky with a forearm to a charging Natalya followed by a kick and exploder. Becky with an elbow and Natalya with forearms. Becky with a springboard kick. Tamina tries to interfere and Naomi pulls her off. Becky gets distracted and Natalya pulls Becky off the turnbuckles and Natalya gets the three count.
Winner: Natalya
We go to commercial.
We are back and Charlotte yells at Naomi and blames her for Becky's loss. They go back and forth until Becky comes out. Becky says that they won't have a chance if they continue to fight. They need to do something about it. Becky says they will fight Natalya, Carmella, and Tamina at Backlash. Becky asks Naomi if she is willing to bond. Naomi agrees to do it and Charlotte says she is the greatest . . . at bonding.
They put their hands in for a Whoa Bundy but Charlotte is slow to join the party.
It is time for a Fashion Files Special London Unit.
Tyler Breeze and Fandango are at the O2 arena and they see a police line. Tyler says that is a real Fashion Faux Paw. Fandango talks about being in the Foggy Apple. They comment on the paint and he says there is only one team that would wear that paint . . . The UGGOS.
Tyler points out they haven't worn face paint in months. He says it is so they cannot be told apart.
There is a ruckus in a room and Fandango tries to use the entry code for the door but they fail.
The door opens and it is The Ascension are screaming in the room.
Fandango says the Uggos will have to wait because the Ascension Case is reopened.
Luke Harper goes to the ring as we go to commercial.
Match Number Three: Luke Harper versus Erick Rowan
Rowan with forearms and he sends Harper over the top rope. Rowan goes to the floor but Harper returns to the ring and Luke with chops. Rowan with a shoulder tackle. Harper with a chop and a running elbow into the corner. Rowan with an Irish whip and splash in the corner but Harper with a drop kick and Rowan goes to the floor. Rowan with kicks followed by a spin kick and splash for a near fall.
Rowan with a rear chin lock. Rowan with a double atomic noogie but Harper with a belly-to-back suplex. Harper with forearms but Rowan with an Irish whip. Harper goes to the apron and connects with a forearm. Harper with a slingshot senton and a boot to the chest for a near fall. Rowan tries to get Harper up but Harper escapes and hits a BossMan Slam for a near fall. Rowan with a sit out choke slam for a near fall. Rowan says it is over and he talks to his mask and is about to use it. Rowan with a thumb to the eye when the referee puts the mask on the ring post. Rowan with a spinning power slam for the three count.
Winner: Erick Rowan
Dolph Ziggler walks in the back as we go to commercial.
