WWE STAR PULLED FROM MEXICO TOUR FOLLOWING AIRPORT ARREST

By Mike Johnson on 2016-08-29 14:47:00

In regard to rumors over the weekend that WWE Raw talent Taylor Michael "Bo Dallas" Rotunda was removed from this past weekend's tour of Mexico due to an incident at the Dallas airport, PWInsider.com has confirmed with the Dallas Airport Police this afternoon that the story is indeed correct.

A police report obtained by PWInsider.com notes that Rotunda was arrested for public intoxication/drunkenness at 7:25 PM local Dallas time after officers were made aware of someone who was removed from an Envoy flight to Puebla, Mexico after yelling expletives at flight crew members.  The individual had left his carry-on luggage behind and began walking towards other departure gates.

Rotunda matched the description of the person removed from the flight - he was wearing a Tapout t-shirt - and was found by Dallas Airport authorities slumped over six gates away from the flight he had been removed from, looking at his phone with several of his belongings on the floor in front of him.

According to the police report, Rotunda (described as smelling of alcohol) said he had been drinking "a little" and when asked for further details, allegedly stated that he "wasn't really planning on driving today."

Rotunda was described in the report as "swaying side to side" and with speaking with a "thick tongue" while slurring his words.   Rotunda was also described as showing "poor dexterity" while picking up his belongings.   After questioning him, Dallas Airport authorities determined that Rotunda "was intoxicated to the point he was a danger to himself and others" and placed him under arrest.

Rotunda was slated to team with Curtis Axel on the Mexico tour against The Usos.  Instead, Axel worked singles matches against Jey and Jimmy Uso.  He had not been part of a major storyline since WWE split their roster into two separate brands last month.

WWE has not publicly acknowledged the arrest as of this writing.  The WWE Wellness Policy forbids the use of alcohol within 12 hours prior to a live event but given that the incident took place 24 hours before the WWE live event in Puebla, Mexico, it does not appear that the arrest could result in a violation of the company's Wellness Policy.

Rotunda, 26, was arrested in 2012 and charged with DUI during his time in WWE developmental.
