MOOSE, EDWARDS, SUICIDE, BFG AND MORE TNA NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2016-07-17 10:11:00

TNA talents received pay at the most recent set of Impact tapings earlier this week.

There was a lot of talk among some about how great Eddie Edwards' work was at the last set of TV tapings, specifically the cage match that will air this Thursday.

The Suicide character is now being portrayed by Jonathan Gresham.  Thus far, it was only used for a One Night Only PPV.  The character was back using it's original name.  It had last been under the Manik name, last portrayed by TJ Perkins.  No word on whether it will pop up on regular storylines going forward.

As noted earlier this week, Moose has signed a two year deal with the company.  He was initially interested in going to WWE but the company backed off on their initial interest.  Moose had discussions with Ring of Honor about signing a new deal (after initially turning one down to go to WWE) but then made the call to go to TNA as their financial offer was better on paper.  As previously noted, the deal calls for Moose to work 110 dates total.

The company is working on locking in a PPV for Bound for Glory for this September.  The show will be at Universal Studios Orlando.

With Wrestlemania coming to Orlando next March, TNA should be looking into taping that week in my opinion.

David Starr, who worked the last set of Impact tapings and the One Night Only Xtravaganza PPV, received good marks for his charisma, which shouldn't come as a shock to anyone who's seen his work over the last year.

Still no word on a rescheduled India tour.

Pop TV is planning on doing some additional advertising on other cable networks this week to promote the Impact Wrestling move to Thursday.

Set for this Thursday's Impact Wrestling:

*TNA champion Bobby Lashley vs. X-Division champ Eddie Edwards - Six Sides of Steel.

*Maria Kanellis gives a State of the Knockouts address.

*The Bound for Glory Playoff matches begin.
