WWE abandoned registration of the 'Balor Club' trademark on 6/22. The application was in the 'oppose to register' phase going all the way back to January 2016 with Baylor University requesting additional time to file an opposition at several points, although they still had not filed their official opposition as of 6/22.
No reason was given as to why WWE were dropping the registration, but like the recently dropped claim to the Legion of Doom, it was termed as an "Express Abandonment."
At one point, there was a creative pitch to title Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows "Balor Club", although that obviously changed.
