TIME FOR WWE TO MAKE SOME INVESTMENT IN THEIR FUTURE WITH THE BRAND SPLIT

By Mike Johnson on 2016-06-02 23:30:00

As we inch closer to the July WWE brand split, one of the more interesting things to follow will be how balanced the two new, separate Raw and Smackdown rosters become and how each talent will be re-shaped with new direction, new surroundings and once that metamophasis takes place, whether they will each be stronger assets for World Wrestling Entertainment.

Take Dean Ambrose for example.  While the WWE audience obviously sees him as a top flight star that they want to get behind, all that support and all the true to life grit that he brings to the ring doesn't help him when he's stacked up against the babyface side of the roster behind John Cena, Roman Reigns and Randy Orton, among others.  Factor in Undertaker and Brock Lesnar's seasonal residences on the WWE roster and that leaves Ambrose trapped in the purgatory that is, at best, the fourth top hero in the company and at worst, somewhere in the bottom side of the Top Ten.

With the brand split, however, it's an entirely new world with an entirely new set of circumstances for Ambrose.  He'll be tapped by a creative team that wants him to be their asset, and moved to one brand where due to the split of the roster, he automatically moves up the roster in terms of importance.  As long as special attention and time is given to him, Ambrose will return the investment WWE makes in him by bringing in ticket sales, fan attention and merchandise numbers for the company.  But, WWE has to make the investment.

In the past, making such an investment has been harder due to the cluttered nature of the company's roster.  There are only so many cards in a deck and once stars are established and have a track record of making you money, it's hard to cast them aside to take a chance on newer talents, even if there is great potential.  For Dena Ambrose, this is the dawning of a new day where he might finally see his work ethic and connection with the audience lead to him being a bigger player for the company.

But, the investment has to be made by WWE management, just as your own assets can't be utilized and traded online unless you use a reputable binary options trader such as Binary Uno.

The entire WWE roster is now in the same position as Ambrose.  Where before talents might have been relegated to a one-way trip of working secondary shows such as Main Event and Superstars, the changing of the guard when it comes to how the roster will be assembled and the way that creative teams will independently build their own stars for Raw and Smackdown allows a greater chance of upward mobility - exactly the opposite of the situation that led to the stagnation of so many mid-carders that the audience pushed to see used in a more meaningful manner.

Everyone from Jack Swagger, who sniffed the World title and is now a forgotten asset to someone like Cesaro, who's star is finally rising, are suddenly a more important commodity for World Wrestling Entertainment.  With double the live events, potentially double the PPVs, new championships and all the opportunities that comes with the brand split and the growth involved, each talent has never been more important to WWE - and with that importance comes more of a potential that WWE is going to take a new chance on them.

Quite an interesting time and surely, an amazing time to see where the chips fall several months and even a year from now.  It's a brave new world.    Who are you placing your bets on?  Who will be the assets that make WWE their newest stars?  Time will tell, but only if they (and you) choose wisely.

The next six months will be very interesting, for Dean Ambrose, for Jack Swagger, for Cesaro, for WWE and most importantly, for you, the fans.
