2/26 AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

By Cory Strode on 2025-02-26 22:07:00

It is Wednesday and AEW Dynamite is held at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, CA. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Taz, and Tony Schiavone.

An ambulance shows at the start of the show, and sadly, inside is not Shaq.  Instead, it’s Cope and he wants to show the Death Riders how they are leaving the show tonight.

We then get a promo from the back from MJF and he has changed his AEW tattoo to a MJF tattoo.

Adam Page then shows up in a truck with bull’s horns on the front.  Did he steal it from Rush? No, he’s just leaning into the Cowboy thing and he comes to the ring for the opening match.

Adam Page vs the Already in the Ring Aaron Solo

Page is still in street clothes and takes off his shirt before stomping down Solo in the corner. Solo gets a corkscrew kick and then Page clotheslines him down and sets for the Buckshot. He hits and covers for the pin and the win.

Winner: Adam Page

Page throws a chair in the ring and grabs a mic. He says he hates running out of biscuits, english ivy and when a little bitch with a spray tan spits in his face. He then says he will sit in the ring until MJF is brought to him and he gives MJF a beatin’.

MJF’s music hits and he comes to the stage with a bloody towel. He says that Page is a ruthless animal and he’s not fighting him now. He doesn’t know if he has a chance, so he’s going home to train his tuckus off. He then says he forgot why he came out to the stage and he’s worried about Page’s friend. Page should check on him and we’ll see who is actually real.

In the back, we see Christopher Daniels is beaten and bloody. Page charges to the back with the chair. In the back, he asks people where MJF went. He finds Daniels and asks the medical staff to help him. Page then takes off with the chair.

We then see that The Don Callis family is in a suite, watching the show. They then give a recap of the match between Bandido and Chris Jericho from Saturday.

Renee Paquette is with Jericho and he says it was one of the greatest main events of Collision history and Renee needs to apologize to him. She brushes past it and asks why Bryan Keith is facing Will Ospreay tonight. Don Callis shows and they explain that they put together a deal where Don hired the Bounty Hunter for tonight.

Will Ospreay vs Bryan Keith.

They lock up and move to mat wrestling and break quickly. They lock up again and Ospreay forces them to the rope and Keith grabs his trunks and pops him one. Ospreay hits a quick suplex and then lays in chops in the corner. Keith hits a double chop to the throat. Ospreay gets a deep arm drag and hangs on with an arm bar. Keith works to his feet and they go to the ropes where Keith gets a knee to the midsection. Ospreay gets a big kick and a scoop slam, followed by a sky twister press for two.

Ospreay calls for the hidden blade and Keith rolls to the floor. Ospreay rolls Keith into the ring. He misses a springboard and when he charges at Keith, Keith shoves him through the ropes to the floor. Ospreay may have jammed his and Keith dives onto him and we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Keith is laying in chops in the corner and then suplexes Ospreay into the turnbuckles. Keith gets some mocking kicks and Ospreay fires back. Ospreay comes off the ropes with a handspring corkscrew kick. He drops Keith with a series of right hands and then a big boot. Ospreay gets a springboard elbow strike for two.

Don Callis and Kyle Fletcher call from Ospreay to come up to them, and Ospreay obliges him. Ospreay and Kyle meet halfway and throw hands in the crowd. They are separated by security.

We get a video package of Mariah May attacking Toni Storm on Collision and we are told Toni Storm was not cleared to travel, but will be on Collision.

We get a hype video for Momo Watanabe. In the back, Mercedes Mone runs into Billie Starkz. Mone tells her to tell Momo she’s waiting for her, knocks her drink in her face and mocks her. Starkz says she may want to be careful because she is looking to take one of those belts, and Momo is already looking for her. Momo shows behind Mone, and Mone takes off, dropping a belt that Momo picks up.

The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) vs The Murder Machine (Lance Archer and Brian Cage) - Winner gets a Tag Team Title Match

The Machines attack at the bell and the Outrunner regroup and send the Machines to the floor. The Machines pull the Outrunners to the floor and as they brawl, we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Truth has been the babyface in peril. Truth gets a jawbreaker on Cage and gets the hot tag to Turbo, who runs wild. After a two count on Cage, the Machines double team Turbo. Archer tags in and they set for the powerbomb chokeslam and Truth gets in the ring to break it up. Truth and Cage fight to the floor and Turbo tries to take down Archer with blows, and instead Archer gets a chokeslam for two,

The Hurt Syndicate is on the stage.

We get a recap video of the feud between Cope and Jon Moxley

We get a hype video for Ricochet.

Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana come to the ring with something to say. He puts himself over and talks about how he became AEW World Champion. Swerve says that Nana was right, and his focus has not been on AEW for far too long and to prove he is the best he has to have gold. But first, he has business to attend to. He tells Ricochet that they are not done because they are done when he says they are done.

Ricochet’s music hits and he comes to the stage wearing The Embassy robe. Ricochet says he is done with Swerve. He won and winners don’t chase losers. Ricochet gets booed loudly before he goes for cheap heat by heeling the local sports teams. He says he will never be facing Swerve ever again, and he will have gold around his waist.

Nana says he has a deal for Ricochet. Tony Khan says the fans deserve a rematch and all he has to do is accept it. Nana says whoever wins is the number one contender for the World Title.

Ricochet accepts the match, but they are not doing it tonight, but instead it will happen at Revolution.

After Ricochet leaves, Nana says he’s proud of Swerve for thinking about the world title again and he needs to go back to who the fans say he is, who Nana thinks he is, and to be the most dangerous man in the business.  Nana says he has taken a lot of bullets for Swerve, and he needs Swerve to get the robe back or he doesn’t know if he can do it anymore.

Renee catches up with Page and he says when he finds MJF, if he doesn’t run him over, MJF will wish that he had.

Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly) vs FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Daniel Garcia

Cash and Kyle start the match with mat wrestling and hammerlocks. Kyle gets a heel hook and Cash immediately gets to the ropes for the break. Garcia and Cole tag in. Dax is able to shove Cole into Strong and gets a sharpshooter on Kyle. Kyle gets to the bottom rope and Dax tries to do it again. That sets off the tag team siren again. Undisputed Kingdom gets a triple small package and then everyone clothesline each other down.
