Did Dave tell Mike to chill and let the story play out between The Rock and Cody after Mike wrote about his frustrations with it?
No, Dave didn’t. Mike has a right to his opinion and there is valid criticism to be made after that segment. If you liked it? Great. Mike did not and I didn’t either for the record. Rock gave one of his worst promos that I can ever remember. Cody looked like a putz standing there listening to his friend come for his “soul” and not saying anything. More importantly, the vibe I got was that Rock can come in whenever he wants and screw up storylines just because he wants to. I am not a fan of that at all. So yes, we will wait and see how it plays out but given what Rock did last year, I don’t have high hopes he has a great plan in mind.
Do you think the Wyatt Sicks idea has cooled off? It was great at first, and Bo Dallas was pretty riveting in his explanations, but they've really gone nowhere outside of a few random attacks. Personally, I think the group would have been more successful if each member was able to explain why they were in the group. For example, Joe Gacy, the failed cult leader. Dexter Lumis, frustrated and overlooked. Eric Rowan, an original member, feeling lost and out of place. A backstory for Sister Abigail. It seems they have a common goal but need a story to move the group forward. What can they do to get a story going?
There is a problem with doing a group of wrestlers like that and that’s that they need other groups to feud with. WWE doesn’t really have a midcard group of heels for them to feud with. I honestly don’t know what the answer is here.
What was the deal with that awkward Thunder Rosa run-in on Dynamite? Seen some say Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford went into business for themselves but find that hard to believe they’d be so blatant on live TV. Either way it came across terribly.
That was a complete and utter mess. It should have never happened. If it were me, I would have swung the chair and made contact. I subscribe to the theory that if someone doesn’t do what they are supposed to do I am not going to let them make me look bad in the process.
Hi guys, AEW's cheerleaders reported Tony and AEW were "thrilled" with the Grand Slam Collision number. If true, what were they possibly thrilled about? Yes, 1,000,000 people started thanks to the lead in. Within minutes, 400,000 or so left. By the time the main event came on, there were 300,000 people watching. They lost 70% of their audience! Why are we celebrating that??
Because it’s better than losing 80 percent of it? Seriously, Tony is thrilled very, very easily where AEW is concerned. I don’t take what he says about the company’s perceived successes seriously. Now, if they had that lead in and kept 50% or more of the audience for the whole show? That would be something to really feel good about but Tony takes it where he can get it at this point.
Do you think someone like Tamina deserves a contract more than some people like Cedric Alexander and Sonya Deville? Why is Endeavor keeping her around? Talk about wasteful spending.
First off, you send a LOT of questions about Tamina. Did she turn you down for a date or something? Your fixation on her is a bit troubling. Honestly, I can’t say who does or doesn’t deserve a contract. It’s not my money being spent. One could venture a guess that it doesn’t hurt that she is part of the Samoan family, but I can’t say that is the reason she is still employed. No matter what the case, the people that give the contracts obviously think she is worth it and that is all that matters really.
