Another international star has finished up with TNA, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
KUSHIDA closed out his run this past weekend with matches at the Final Resolution PPV and the subsequent TV taping in Atlanta, GA.
KUSHIDA was signed to a dual contract to both New Japan Pro Wrestling and TNA in December 2023. The signing was originally planned to be the first of a number of similar deals that, in theory, could keep talents in the two companies and reward them financially as a way to stem the tide of losing them to larger promotions, but after the departure of Scott D'Amore earlier this year, that initiative quietly went away.
We are told KUSHIDA will be primarily focused on New Japan Pro Wrestling going forward and left TNA on good terms, so the door is open for potential appearances down the line. Contractually, however, KUSHIDA is done.
