After WWE terminated their long-time legal team, including Jerry McDevitt, from representing them against Major League Wrestling after the team failed to get the lawsuit dismissed, a court filing by the The U.S. District Court of California. Northern District (San Jose)n made it clear that the lawsuit won't be going to trial anytime soon.
Today, the court set the following timeline for the legal proceedings:

Expert Discovery Cutoff - January 12, 2025
Deadline for Filing Dispositive Motions - February 11, 2025
Deadline for Filing Oppositions to Dispositive Motions - March 31, 2025
Deadline for Filing Replies to Dispositive Motions - April 28, 2025
Hearing on Anticipated Dispositive Motion(s)1 - June 5, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.
So, all parties are looking at nearly two years before they get to the actual potential trial, unless there is a settlement before that point.
As of today, the Court has lifted the stay on Discovery proceedings, so the two sides can begin to investigate to discover proof that they can use to bring before the court during the trial.
K&L Gates were terminated from the case officially on 7/5.
The new firm representing WWE will be Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Warton & Garrison LLP, who represented Vince McMahon in moves to unretire and retake control of World Wrestling Entertainment, which obviously, were successful.
