Court records indicate that WWE was officially served with Major League Wrestling's lawsuit via attorney Jerry McDevitt electronically on 1/14. WWE have 21 days to respond.
There is already a case management meeting set for 4/12 in Oakland, California.
A WWE spokesperson, in responding to a PWInsider.com request for comment on the lawsuit, which was filed on 1/12 in California, alleging intentional interference with contractual relations, intentional interference with prospective economic relations, a violation of the Sherman Antitrust act and more, issued the following:
“WWE believes these claims have no merit and intends to vigorously defend itself against them.”
