It’s that NGI time of year! 7 participants have been announced for the single elimination tournament and one is a mystery. Is it the king himself? Or….we’ll see! Champion Masashi Takeda is putting the GCW Ultraviolent Championship on the line in every round of the tournament! Emil Jay is your announcer. Kevin Gill & Dave Prazak are at the commentary table. Huge light tube towers in each corner of the ring to kick this off.
Match 1: Atticus Cogar vs Rina Yamashita (1st Round)
The crowd is wild for Yamashita. They trade forearms right at the start, Yamashita with a testicular claw and shoulder block! Cogar guts Rina and chops her on the ropes. He breaks a tube and gets to carving the forehead early. Yamashita is opened wide and Cogar takes a bite off that. A series of reversals over the tube tower until Yamashita dropkicks Cogar into the structure. She gets payback with a forehead carving if her own. Ripcord lariat for two! Cogar reverses a suplex and lands one of his own into a pile of tubes. More tubes and they trade shots. Cogar throws a bundle into her face and blasts Yamashita with the giant lighttube fan! Yamashita kicks out! He comes running but Yamashita hits a tonic right into a pile of tubes and smashes a full fan of tubes over his head. Yamashita drags Cogar through glass and hits a top rope splash onto a pile of tubes. She’s in pain and can’t get the pin immediately. Cogar kicks out and hits an air raid crash into the other tube tower! Cogar is frustrated and starts whipping tubes into her head. Kick out! She’s not done. Cogar grabs the skewers and gives her a pair of skewer horns. Cogar finishes off Yamashita with a headlock driver to advance to the semi’s.

So who is the mystery competitor? OH MY GOD IT’S CHARLI EVANS! Wait….wait a sec…it’s not just Charli…SHLAK IS HERE TOO! We have a triple threat!
Match 2: Kit Osbourne vs Charli Evans vs SHLAK (Round 1 3-way)
Kit and Charli swarm the big man but SHLAK pummels them both. We have boards covered in barbed wire and light tubes for this one. SHLAK hits a sitout bomb on Kit for two. Kit rakes the eyes and introduces the first tube shot of the contest. Double dropkick bounces SHLAK off the barbed wire door. Time for Evans and Osbourne to go at it, trading tubes while SHLAK heads outside the ring for SOMETHING. Charli with a knee to the chin and headbutts a tube into Kit’s forehead. SHLAK in with a tube bundle and rams Kit into a board covered in mouse traps. Charli throwing forearms into SHLAK, stuns him with a super kick. She ties up Kit’s legs and SHLAK stomps them both out. SHLAK powerbombs Kit into the broken glass. SHLAK is cut badly and wrapping his arm in paper towels and duct tape. Jesus. Kit thrown into a board of tubes. Osbourne is a mess as SHLAK sets up the barbed wire door. Kit fighting back and tries a rana. SHLAK stays put and just slams Kit horribly into the wire. This looked real rough. Charli catches up the SHLAK on the top and tosses him off to the floor through a bunch of tubes. SHLAK stands right up and throws a chair. Kit blasts him with a tube bundle. Snap dragon to Evans and pedigrees her into the barbed wire! Kick out! Kit tries to put her up but Charli pulls a small package and gets the three!

Match 3: Alex Colon vs Akira
I’m looking at lighttube bundles with knives taped to it. This will go well. Akira and Colon both have knives and this is starting wild. Akira tries to disarm Colon and hits a rolling kick, blasting Colon in the face with his own tube/knife bundle. Akira kicks up Colon in the front row, sets up a tube but Colon lets him come running and crash and burn through it. Colon with a suicide dive with a light tube. Colon swinging light tubes at ringside and stabbing Akira in the forehead and back with the shards. He sets up Akira in a chair and comes running across the entire building to blast him with a tube. The tube doesn’t break the first time but it sure does the second time. Colon only gets a two count and goes back to the knife and cuts across Akita’s forehead. The crowd demands he stab Akira and he takes him around the ropes, tearing up Akita’s head with the knife. Akira with a sunset flip and Colon tees off with a tube. Akira begs for more and Colon obliges. Akira wakes up! High knee! Rolling elbow and drops Colon on his head. Akira puts on the brakes and kicks Colon’s tubes into his face with a 619! Akira is a bloody mess. The crowd is loving it but Colon is out at two. Akira with a poison rana from the top! He misses the senton and crashes into the broken glass. Colon with a uranage into a knee. Colon applies a camel clutch, fights through a pin and out to an ankle lock! Sleeper suplex! Colon grabs the tube/knife bundle! Akira fights out the tree of woe and throws Colon into the Tubes and knives! Akira with a light tube senton! Kick out! Tiger driver into a Muta lock! Colon dragging them through the glass and breaks the hold. Akira sets up a knife board! Colon northern lightsed into the knives! Kick out! Akira comes running and Colon double knees him in the chest with tubes. Slam through the knife board! Kick with some tubes and knives. Akira refuses to stay down! Colon sinks the camel clutch in deep and Akira passes out in the hold. This was absolutely mad.

Match 4: Masashi Takeda vs Eric Ryan (1st Round - For the GCW Ultraviolent Championship)
More light tubes. I see a bucket. Uh oh. Takeda and Ryan just throw themselves into tubes to break the ice. They battle around the ring before Takeda introduces those scissors into the fight. Takeda cuts up the forehead and holds a crossface with them around Ryan’s face. Trading tube shots. Ryan kicks a bundle into Takeda’s face and hits a northern lights for two. Ryan stabbing at the forehead with forks. He stabs under Takeda’s tongue and both guys are a mess. Ryan dumps the bucket…it’s full of forks! Back drop into the forks but Takeda kicks out. Ryan tries to stand but gets stuck on the buckle. Takeda flies into his chest with tubes as he turns. Tube shattered into Ryan’s mouth and Takeda bulldogs him into more. Ryan with a dragon suplex but Takeda rages through it. Takeda with a knee strike into tubes but Ryan is out at one! Trading punches and headbutts. Dominator into more tubes! Ryan is down, Takeda puts a tub on his face and punches straight through it to KO Ryan and get the three. Takeda retains AND advances!

We go to our first intermission! We return with Effy and Allie Katch doing commentary for the scramble!
Match 5: Nate Webb vs Ninja Mack vs Yoya vs Cole Radrick vs ASF vs Brayden Lee vs Gringo Loco
Well, this is a recipe for a wild match. Mack and Gringo kick this off while Nate Webb hangs back, waiting for everyone to clear everyone else. ASF is last man standing as Gringo renters the ring for a little rematch from last night. ASF with an armdrag and another one off a wheelbarrow! ASF rana’s Gringo out. Cole in to throw them both around. Cole with a leg lariat to the back of the head. Yoya breaks the pin but Lee is in to fight. Backpack cannonball to Yoya! Kick out! Webb blasts Lee with a spinning kick. Ninja Mack comes handspringing but Webb boots him out of the air and dives out to all his opponents. Loco armdrags ASF off the apron! Ninja Mack is still standing! Mack wants some flips but Lee cuts him off to the dismay of the crowd. Webb misses a corkscrew senton. Cole wipes Lee out with a moonsault. Ninja Mack fires up and takes out Cole. ASF monkey flipped into Gringo who flapjacks him into a splash on Mack. Lee tries a 450 but Tota gets the knees up. Loco and Mack get Yoya up in a stack and ASF hits a double doomsday sling blade! ASF with a code red in Gringo! Kick out! Lee in but eats a flatliner from Webb. Yoya with a destroyer! ASF and Gringo battling on the top! Super cutter by Loco! Both are down! Mack and Lee off the top hits them both. Mack with a sunset flip to Lee and he stays down for the three!

Match 6: Charli Evans vs Alex Colon (semi finals)
I see our first pane of glass on the day. Colon still looks like a murder scene after his last match. Colon doesn’t want to go to the tubes and offers to chain wrestle. Evans takes him down and kicks a tube into his back. They fight to the outside and Evans is kicking him apart. Colon knocks her into the first row but she sabus him as Colon comes running in. Colon with a stomp as they get into the ring and cuts Charli down both arms with a broken tube. He blasts her with more tubes and dumps a bucket of tacks over her head. Charli kicks him back into the tacks, stuffs his mouth full and kicks the tacks out. German into the tacks! Kick out! Charli with a broken chair, a series of kicks and hits a swinging ddt into the metal for two. Charli with a STF! Colon gets the rope as Yamashita is out to cheer Charli on. Colon and Evans trading punches in the center. Evans with a flurry but Colon with a uranage to the knee for two. Evans smashes about a dozen tubes over his head, lariat turns Colon inside out! He kicks out at 2.999! The crowd is behind Evans trying her damndest to pull this off. She sets up the glass pane on chairs over Colon’s prone body. Charli to the top…colon is free and smashes a bundle over her back before heading up to the top. Evans fighting back! Colon with headbutts! Colon with a superplex through the glass! Evans kicks out and is PISSED! Colon is bewildered but he smashes more tubes and applies the camel clutch. Evans gives Colon the finger as she refuses to tap. But just like Akira, Charli Evans goes to sleep in the hold. Wild match, the crowd gives Charli all their love for her efforts tonight.

Match 7: Atticus Cogar vs Masashi Takeda (for the GCW Ultraviolent Championship) (semi finals)
Atticus comes in hard and blasts tubes into Takeda early. Takeda is a mess from the first match still and Cogar looks to finish the job. Carved up in the ropes with a broken tube. Takeda ducks a tube swing and spears them right through Cogar. Takes throwing tubes in the corner. Tree of woe and Takeda with a double knees to the face (with tubes of course). Atticus kicks out and Takeda goes to the glass pane. Cogar reverses and hits an air raid crash through the glass pane! Kick out! Cogar goes to the skewers…Takeda takes the skewers to the head! Takeda smashes a gusset plate into Cogar’s forehead and they trade headbutts. Takeda with the tubes and hits a swanton off the top for two. Cogar is a MESS. Takeda goes for the skewers as 44OH hit the ring. Eddie Only & Gregory Iron set up Takeda on the ropes, Cogar smashes more skewers into Takeda before hitting the headlock driver. NOT LIKE THIS! Jordan Oliver coming out to the ring on clutches after last nights attack. 44OH waits for Big Breakfast to hobble in. Iron kicks away the crutch…Jordan is fine and wipes out Iron and Only. Takeda back in with a back fist through tubes and a running knee for two! Jordan grabs a 30 tube bundle for Takeda. Takeda smashes the skewers into Cogar’s mouth before hitting a dragon driver through the tubes for the pin and successful title defense!

We go to our second intermission as they set up for the Finals and probably apply some glue to Takeda’s head.
Main Event: Alex Colon vs Masashi Takeda (for the Ultraviolent Championship) (tournament final)
Light tubes woven into the ropes. Both guys look like they fought their way out of a plane crash. Colon wants his belt back and to notch another tournament win on his belt. Both guys whipped and shotgunned into the rope tubes. Colon gets carved and recent wounds are quickly reopened. Takeda puts a tube down Colon’s shirt and kicks it apart. There’s a bunch of tubes set up between a pair of ladders. Colon comes running and Takeda hits an exploder through the tubes. Colon looks a million miles away after that bump, as he crawls over to a pair of doors on chairs. Takeda comes in, goes to the top but Colon sabus him. Colon adds a pane of glass and chairs on top of the doors. Superplex off the top to the glass and doors on the floor! Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus. Colon is a full crimson mask at this point. Takeda is just cut to shreds. Colon has his head wrapped in cloth and duct tape as he tries for the pin. Colon blasts Takeda on the back with a tube and he CLEARLY FEELS IT. Takeda with a side slam for two! Takeda to the top and Colon blasts him with more tubes. Spanish Fly off the top! Takeda kicks out! Colon is fighting blood loss as Takeda hits a huge knee to a pile of tubes. Kick out! Dragon driver! Kick out! Takeda is furious and fires up even more. Huge pile of tubes in the center. Colon tries a sunset bomb. Takeda eats another Spanish fly through the tubes. Alex Colon applies the camel clutch and it’s deep! Takeda taps out!!! We have a new champion!
Tournament Winner (and New GCW Ultraviolent Champ): Alex Colon
Huge “You deserve it” chants for Colon for taking back his championship and taking the tournament victory. Colon puts over Takeda on the mic before calling out Jon Moxley champion to champion. He wants a shot. Before anything can happen, a masked man enters the ring with a bundle of light tubes…he blasts Colon. Brain buster! It’s ICW American Deathmatch Champion John Wayne Murdoch!!!! He puts the camel clutch on Colon and puts him down. Murdoch holds up the Ultraviolent championship, making a statement to GCW as a section of the crowd starts up an “ICW” chant. Wild finish to the night but what is Murdoch doing in GCW?!?? Maybe Moxley will have to wait…
