Gabe Sapolsky, who was the first-ever Ring of Honor booker, took to Twitter to comment on yesterday's Ring of Honor announcement, writing:
"Very sorry for those affected by today’s news. Not knowing your future or having stability is one of the worst things you can go through, but new possibilities you never imagined are ahead. RIP Doug https://t.co/I7vnvo8g"
The Doug referenced is early ROH official Doug Gentry, who passed away well before his time in 2007.
Cary Silkin, who owned Ring of Honor prior to Sinclair Broadcast Group purchasing the promotion in 2011, commented:
