Awhile back you had reported on legal issues for John Nord. I always like the Bezerker and was wondering if there were any updates?
Nothing substantial. He had been arrested for an alleged probation violation. He denied it in court. There have been no further hearings on the matter due to the COVID-19 delays within the Minnesota Court system.
What happens now with Jeff Jarrett vs. Impact Wrestling. What would you do if you were them?
They have one of two paths - they either continue forward and set a new trial date or they settle the case. I don't know what they will do but one would think at this point, what does Jeff Jarrett have to lose now except time and money, so my guess is he will push to continue the process unless Anthem offers to settle at a level he's happy with.
I don't know what I would do but it seems to me perhaps the best course of action would be for Anthem to hand Jarrett the trademark on his name and the GFW tapes and provide him with a settlement on the other issues and then everyone agrees mistakes were made on both sides and all go their separate ways. To me, where Anthem gets hung up (and again, this is me) is the tapes being deleted, so they should make good on that, give Jeff the trademark to HIS OWN NAME and the tapes (which I would guess eventually land on the WWE Network) and everyone walks away without spending another fortune on legal bills...but that's just me.
What do you think of Taz on AEW? When does the Taz Show return?
His promos are great. He adds some credibility to Ricky Starks and Brian Cage. He is obviously a great announcer. He's brought something to the table for sure. I don't see the Taz Show returning until it's something tied into AEW as that's his priority right now.
Where do you think Tessa Blanchard ends up?
I don't think anywhere yet. I know there have been rumors about her going to WWE, but I don't know there's anything to them beyond talk. If I am Blanchard, as long as I can afford to do so, I stay out of sight and let time pass, get married and then decide what the next course of action is. I don't see why there's a rush to go anywhere.
Why haven't the Colons popped up anywhere?
I know they are starting to take indy bookings and they are still working for WWC in Puerto Rico (obviously) but let's face it, there aren't a TON of events yet, so where are they going to wrestle regularly? We are still in the middle of a pandemic!
