With Daniel Bryan having made public during interviews discussing his medical clearance and return to the ring that his current WWE deal was due to expire on 9/1, there has been a lot of speculation about his future and whether Bryan might leave WWE to pursue wrestling outside of their auspices.
Earlier today, WWE issued an announcement to fans in the Detroit area about the Tuesday 9/4 Smackdown Live taping at the Little Caesars Arena with Bryan announced for the taping, including a dark match main event teaming with AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy against Samoa Joe, The Miz and Shinsuke Nakamura.
Over the weekend, WWE also announced that Bryan would make his first appearance in Madison Square Garden in three years at the 12/26 return to the legendary venue in NYC.
So, while card is subject to change, these are the first potential indications that Bryan has signed (or is expected by WWE to sign) a new deal. Stay tuned.
