WWE NXT in Johnstown, PA:
*No Way Jose defeated Chad Leil in the opener. Solid opener unfortunately no one knows Chad Leil, so he received typical heel chants. Jose with his finisher after about 5 minutes.
*Candice LaRae defeated Bianca Bel Air. Another solid bout. Crowd kept chanting "cut your hair" at Bianca who was playing heel tonight and "Mrs. Wrestling" at Candice. Candice won after a missilee dropkick followed by a standing splash.
*EC3 defeated Kassius Ohno. This match should have been better, but was good for as long as it was. EC3heeled the crowd with a promo beforehand and won with his TKO finisher.
,*The Street Profits defeated The Forgotten Sons. This was the best match so far. Really good back and forth tag team action. At first, the crowd was chanting, "You can't wrestle " at the Forgotten Sons. However at the end, there were a lot of "This is awesome" and "NXT" chants. Some great mat work and tag team action from both teams. Look forward to seeing them grow. Street Profits won with a very high frog splash.
*Intermission.
*Kairi Sane & Nikki Cross defeated Lacey Evans & Shayna Baszler. Evans and Baszler worked over Nikki's arm for most of the match. The finish came after a hot tag to Kairi, but there seemed to be some confusion at the end as Kairi hit an elbow from the top, but the ref counted two then after a long pause hit the third count and called the match for Kairi and Cross.
*Tommaso Ciampa defeated Oney Lorcan. Ciampa came out to Johnny Gargano's music then heeled the crowd, which got a lot of "You tapped out" chants. He made an open challenge, which Lorcan answered. The crowd took it to be a squash match but it turned into an awesome back and forth bout with Ciampa willing with a Death Valley Driver from the middle rope, followed by a running knee for the win. After the match, Ciampa continued to beat on Lorcan and put him in Gargano's submission. The referee called for the bell and Ciampa went out and rang the bell himself before heading back into the ring. As Ciampa was lining up the shot, Johnny Gargano came out of the crowd in a soft neck brace and there was a pull-apart brawl with the locker room pulling them apart.
*Aleister Black & Ricochet defeated Andrade "Cien" Andrades Almas with Zelina Vega and The Velveteen Dream. This was the best match of the night with all of them working hard. Lots of high flying from all four guys. The finish came when Black did a moonsault to the outside onto Almas. Ricochet then hit the 450 onto Dream. Black then hit the Black Mass on Dream for the win.
Overall, a great show for the small crowd they drew. NXT did a great job.
