Dusty Tag Classic Final

Balor, despite his leg issues, started.  Joe didn't look happy.   Balor tagged Joe in and he looked good, using strikes, kicks and a back senton splash to work over Corbin.  Joe feels like he's morphing back into the ROH era Joe by the month.  Joe and Balor had things well in hand until Rhyno clotheslined Balor in the back of his knee while he was outside on the apron.  Nice, heinous move!  Rhyno and Corbin began picking apart Balor.  It broke down like it was in Tulsa with all sorts of stiff big moves.  Joe and Balor won with the muscle buster/double stomp finisher.  Really good stuff.  A nice way to pay tribute to Dusty.

The Rhodes family came to the ring to present Joe and Finn with the trophy.  A really cool moment.  Cody Rhodes gave a really great speech saying they can't run from what happened to Dusty but they can respect and remember him.  He said everyone let Dusty into their family and tonight, "We are all Rhodes."  The crowd chanted Thank you Dusty" as they played his theme song.  A great moment.

Bayley vs. Sasha Banks: Iron Man

What an awesome bout.  This was nothing like their Brooklyn bout as it was paced completely different but had the same big fight feel.  You can make a great argument for Sasha Banks as the best villain of the year after this performance as she was absoutely ruthless and evil, screwing Bayley twice to get wins over her.  Bayley fought back with everything and this was just a tremendously physical bout that was better than anything on Raw of late or the MSG special, for that matter.  The ending with Bayley breaking the Bank Statement and then locking Sasha in a submission as she kicked and stomped her (playing off of Sasha doing that to her at NXT Brooklyn) until Banks finally submitted with second left was nothing short of brilliant.  The post-match with the entire crew showing respect, Banks collapsing in tears and the flowers being given to them both out of respect (a takeoff of what happens in Japan before big matches) was just perfect.  I don't know if I am jinxing them by saying this, but Bayley vs. Banks is the closest thing we've seen to a Rick Steamboat vs. Ric Flair or Eddie Guerrero vs. Dean Malenko series in forever.  Here's to many, many more years of this rivalry.
