Adam Cole vs Dalton Castle

The fans are split right down the middle in this one. Seriously, Dalton Castle is OVER, and the fans go nuts as he does a provocative back bridge while breaking off a tie up. Cole mocks him by mimicking the bridge, but Cole has a hard time combating Castle's mannerisms and falls victim to a springboard splash for 2. Castle snaps Cole over with a suplex, then deadlifts Cole with a delayed gutwrench and mounts him from behind...so he can repeatedly headbutt Cole in the back of the head. Castle goes to the second rope, but Cole pushes Castle to the floor...where his young boys fan him. Cole chases the young boys off and rolls Castle inside as the fans chant "MAN UP" at them. The young boys lead the fans in a peacock cheer, and Castle gets a sunset flip with the help of the boys fanning Cole over. Cole is out at 2, and he goes after the young boys, telling them to stay out of his match. He shoves one down, but Castle didn't appreciate that and takes Cole out with a dive. They head back inside where Castle tackles Cole into the corner and gets an overhead release suplex. Castle with a spinning facebuster for 2, Cole fights his way out of a bearhug and goes for the second rope Destroyer but Castle catches Cole and hits another release suplex for 2. Castle ducks a leaping enziguiri and hits a fireman's neckbreaker and a running knee for 2. Cole superkicks Castle's legs out from under him and quickly goes to the figure four. Castle is close to the ropes and struggles his way to force the break, and the young boys again fan Castle back to coherence. Cole goes out and tries to roll Castle back inside, but he swings off the ropes and gets a flying headscissors on the floor. Now Castle tosses Cole back in and hits a deadlift German with a bridge for 2, they wind up fighting on the apron, and Cole mockingly fans Castle and starts smacking him in the head. Castle responds by drilling Cole with a running knee to the skull and comes off the top...RIGHT into a superkick. Cole with a release German suplex and another running knee for 2, then they trade right hands in the middle of the ring, then they trade big boots, Cole hits a pair of superkicks and goes for another German, but Castle reverses to a victory roll for 2. Cole quickly drills him with another superkick and hits the brainbuster over the knee for the win.

Winner: Adam Cole

Excellent match! Dalton Castle does a great job of blending the character into what he does in the ring, and I haven't seen many people get this over so soon in ROH. Cole helps Castle to his feet and shakes his hand, but Silas Young runs down to ringside and destroys the young boys. Castle tries to come to the rescue, but security separates them before they can get their hands on each other.

BJ Whitmer comes out on crutches and shadowed by Colby Corino, and says that he obviously just had surgery, and is only 11 days away from ACL surgery and will be out of action for a while. But he's capable of so much more than being a wrestler, he can come out here and mentor Adam Page, be a father figure to Colby Corino, but tonight...(fans chant for Steve Corino)...tonight, his job is at the commentary table, and he's been tasked with schooling Steve Corino in the art of color commentary. He tells Corino to lay out and learn a thing or two, and maybe he can pick up some pointers on being a good father. BJ tells Page to introduce the future of this company and the guy who's going to take out ACH.

No DQ Match: Adam Page vs ACH

ACH rushes the ring and attacks Page as soon as he hits the ring, outmaneuvers Page and dropkicks him to the floor. ACH takes Page out with a dive, Page tries to ram ACH into the post but ACH backflips off the post, takes out the cameraman, and backdrops Page onto the floor. Whitmer sends Colby to the back for some water, then tweaks Steve Corino a bit as he talks about the prognosis on his ACL injury. ACH is in control, but gets too cute messing with Whitmer as he runs all the way around the ring and past him and gets nailed coming in by Page. Page charges ACH, but ACH has a chair and whips it right at Page's face as he comes in. ACH rolls Page in and goes to the top rope, but Page kills ACH with a chair, sets the chair up in the ring, and gives ACH a powerslam onto the chair for 2. Page tries to drag a table out from under the ring, but he gets distracted by the fans and ACH nails him, then takes the table and sets it up at ringside. Page gets a ladder from under the ring and tosses it in the ring as ACH gets an Indian club form under the ring and nails Page with it. Page slams ACH onto the ladder and ACH tries to come back with some flippy dippy move, but PAge dodges and suplexes ACH onto the ladder for 2. Page goes for his slingshot clothesline, but ACH catches him coming in with a kick to the ding ding and it's all legal in this one. ACH ducks a wild swing with a chair and unloads on Page with a series of jabs, then wipes Page out with a hard clothesline and a German suplex onto the ladder. Page rolls out to the floor and ACH drills him with a running boot across the apron, then brings him inside and hits a brainbuster on a chair for 2. Page's shoulder really looks to have been hurt on that ladder bump, but he manages to whip a DDT at ACH's head and hit a sweet DDT for 2. ACH dumps Page to the floor and hits a 450 off the apron, then rolls Page inside and goes to the top rope. Colby Corino goes after ACH and gets fought off, but it gave Page a chance to drill ACH in the head with a crutch and give him the Rite of Passage off the apron nad through a table. Colby quickly rolls ACH into the ring and rolls Page on top of him, and that's it for ACH.

Winner: Adam Page

Great match, and glad to see Page go over, I just hope that shoulder isn't banged up too bad after that bump. Colby helps Page up and carries him over to BJ, who gets up from the broadcast table and shakes Page's hand as ACH gets checked on by members of the Maryland State Athletic Commission.

The title matches are up next on Page 3!
