We take a look at New Year's Evil.
NXT Men's World Champion Oba Femi struts to the ring.
Oba says destiny will always arrive, just like he has arrived. It is time for him to take his rightful place upon the throne. People would come out and say they never thought they could do it, but Oba says he knew he would do it. He said that he was backed by destiny and it wasn't a catchphrase or a gimmick. He was backed by destiny when he won the Breakout Tournament, when he won the North American title, when he was the longest reigning North American champion, and when he won the NXT Championship. Oba says this is all his and he will rule it the way he wants.
Oba says Trick put a lot of hard work into this title, but just like every guy back there, Trick had a ceiling, but Oba has no ceiling. He says Eddy is a piece of work. He is a rat and deceiver. He is like gum on the bottom of your shoe. He never goes away. Oba gives Eddy his final warning. Go bother someone else in the locker room.
Tony D'Angelo makes his way to the ring. He congratulates Oba on his win and he says Oba is in the big seat now. Tony says he was in the back and he was listening to what Oba accomplished. He talks about Oba being the longest reigning champion. But it is Tony 2 and Oba 1. Oba is the ruler now, but remember he is the one man to defeat you. When he decides to go for that championship, we know he will walk out of the ring as the double title Don.
Oba says he sees that Tony has found his confidence. Didn't you get your ass dropped last week? You might worry about the North American title more.
Tony says no one gets one over the Don without consequences. He says he will take care of Ridge Holland.
Ridge Holland's music plays and he says Tony is in better shape than the last time he saw him. Ridge has a belated Christmas gift for him.
Tony says he will come and sign it for him.
Ridge swings and misses and Tony with a double leg take down.
They fight to the back and Oba watches.
Eddy Thorpe attacks Oba from behind and he wraps a strap around his forearm and he hits Oba in the back of the head.
Eddy holds the title belt.
Oro Mensah is with Dante Chen in LOCKER ROOM and Ethan Page comes in and he talks about his interaction last week with The Rock. Ethan tells Dante it doesn't matter what he did. Ethan says he can smell the jealousy in the locker room.
Dante says no one is jealous and no one wants him in the locker room after what he did to Je'Von and Cedric.
Ethan asks if it was what he did to Je'Von's jaw or that he couldn't eat solid food, or was it listening to him talk.
Match Number One: Stephanie Vaquer versus Shotzi in a Who Gets the Next Number One Contender Match
They lock up and Vaquer with a waist lock and Shotzi with a standing switch and Vaquer with one of her own. Shotzi with a take down for a near fall. Shotzi with a wrist lock. Vaquer with a reversal. Shotzi with a single leg take down. They lock up and Vaquer with a wrist lock and snap mare. Shotzi floats over and Vaquer blocks an arm drag. Vaquer with a wrist lock take down and a rollup for a near fall. Shotzi with a victory roll for a near fall. Vaquer goes for a leg submission but Shotzi counters and she gets a back slide for a near fall. They each miss clotheslines but Shotzi with an enzuigiri. Shotzi with an Irish whip and she goes to the turnbuckles for a tarantula. Shotzi goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall.
Vaquer with an Irish whip but Shotzi with a boot. Vaquer with a dragon screw in the turnbuckles and she applies the head scissors and drives Shotzi's head into the mat. Shotzi rolls to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Shotzi goes for a Frankensteiner and hits it. Shotzi with a running knee and a punch. Shotzi with a thrust kick and she gets a near fall. Vaquer with a jaw breaker and a thrust kick. Vaquer with Sole Food. Vaquer misses a splash into the corner. Shotzi with a running back senton into the corner. Shotzi goes for a German suplex but Vaquer grabs the ropes. Shotzi with a Tiger Suplex for a near fall. Shotzi charges into the corner and Vaquer with a hip toss into the corner. Vaquer with kicks in the corner and a running double knee strike. Vaquer gets a near fall. Vaquer goes fo the package back breaker but Shotzi escapes.
Jacy Jayne comes to ringside and Shotzi and Vaquer send Jacy into the ring and they hit a double head butt. Fallon hits Vaquer in the back with the belt while the referee is distracted. Fallon gets the three count.
Winner: Shotzi
The women are in ROOM and they are trying to talk to Kelani about coming close. Zaria tells Jordan to use her losses for motivation. Cora tells Jordan not to use her losses for motivation.
Cora says she will win a championship before Jordan wins another one.
Jordan slaps Jade and she says she is not the same girl.
Stephanie Vaquer storms past many people in hallway and she looks for someone. Vaquer grabs Jazmyn Nyx and throws her down.
Vaquer continues her voyage in the back as she looks for someone else.
She sees Tatum and Gigi and then walks past some more random people.
Vaquer continues to walk around the back.
A referee stops Vaquer and they have words. Ethan Page shows up and he has some words for Vaquer before walking away.
The camera turns its attention to Ethan Page walking because he is in the next match.
We see Oba Femi with Ava and he says he will eliminate Eddy the next time he sees him. Oba says if Eddy wants a title match, he gets it.
Ava says she is not going to reward Eddy.
Stone tells Oba not to let Eddy play him.
Oba picks up Stone and he says he wants Eddy.
Ava says she will talk to him about it if he puts Stone down.
Ava gives Oba a match with Eddy next week.
Match Number Two: Ethan Page versus Dante Chen
Page attacks Chen when he does his pre match pose and Page with forearms.
The match starts and Chen avoids Page in the corner and Chen with punches and forearms. Chen with a back elbow to the midsection followed by a thrust kick and a running boot to the head. Chen sets for the Dragon chop but Page backs off and sends Chen into the ropes. Page with a cutter for the three count.
Winner: Ethan Page
After the match, Page with many punches to Chen. Page pulls off Chen's boot and he puts the foot between the ring steps and the apron. Page kicks the steps.
The medical staff is summoned to the ring with other referees pointing at Page to leave.
Je'Von Evans assaults Page and he sends Page into the apron. Evans with punches but Page with a punch to the face and Evans goes down.
Page tells Je'Von to smile for him.
Evans is bleeding from the mouth while Page smiles at the carnage.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Oba walks in WAREHOUSE and Dion Lennox stops him and he suggests gettinga titel match.
We see Shawn Spears talking to Adriana Rizzo about whether Tony cares.
Izzi Dame shows up and says she doesn't need Spears and Rizzo doesn't need her.
Adonis and Karmen are in BACK and Karmen says she got his text and he gives her a rose. She says it is about damn time and she kisses Adonis.
We take a look at Giulia winning the Women's World Title with a video package.
