Hardy is in the ring. He introduces AJ Styles.
AJ says that he missed everyone so much. He says it is fitting that he is in Nashville tonight. He says this is where it all started for him. Over the past couple months, he says he has done things that he regrets and things he might not be forgiven for. He is not here to talk about the past and he is here to talk about rebuilding the legacy of AJ Styles. He says there are a lot of guys who don't like him and he does not blame them. AJ says that this is still the House that AJ Styles built.
Carmelo Hayes interrupts.
He says he isn't surprised that there isn't a long line of people waiting to welcome him back. Hayes says he decided to do that. He says he does not have to reintroduces himself to AJ. He points out that he beat Andrade three times and he is holding it down on Smackdown while AJ has been gone.
Hayes says he likes old timers like AJ. He says he is waiting to hear AJ talk about a Legend's contract that he has signed. Hayes says AJ deserves it, but Hayes wants to talk about himself. Hayes says he deserves to be the US Champion.
AJ stops Hayes and he wants to give him some friendly advice. He says he has been in the ring with Knight and Knight is relentless. Knight came to his house and they had a match at Wrestlemania.
Hayes says he doesn't need AJ's advice because he doesn't take advice from quitters.
AJ says he earned that. Do you think you are that good? If you were that good and you were HIM, you would be US champion, wouldn't you?
Hayes says if AJ was phenomenal, he would be World Champion.
AJ says they are in their wrestling gear and there are ropes. Why not have a match, right now?
Hayes denies the request and he says he is good.
LA Knight comes out to the stage.
Knight wants to talk to ya.
Someone wants to fight Carmelo, and he runs away. Knight says he is not friends with AJ. The last time he saw AJ, he was misleading everyone saying that he would retire and he made a liar about himself. He says he doesn't have a lot to say to AJ, but Hayes says he claims he is HIM, but he is going to be stomped down tonight. There are two options. Knight says he can come down there and punch Hayes four or five times and then he can go to Broadway, have a few drinks, and have a good night. The other choice is that Hayes faces AJ. If Hayes can beat AJ, then he will make a case to Nick Aldis to get a title match. Knight says regardless, he is going to Broadway.
Match Number One: AJ Styles versus Carmelo Hayes
They lock up and Hayes sends AJ to the mat. AJ with a back breaker and he sends Hayes into the turnbuckles. AJ with chops but Hayes with chops of his own. AJ with more chops. Hayes with a back elbow but AJ with a Phenomenal drop kick. AJ kicks Hayes when he tries to get back into the ring. Hayes with a kick and forearm. AJ with a back elbow and eh goes for a springboard moonsault but Hayes moves and Hayes with a springboard clothesline for a near fall. Hayes with a suplex for a near fall. Hayes sends AJ to the floor. Hayes goes to the turnbuckles and poses. AJ gets back on the apron and Hayes with a forearm.
AJ goes to the floor and Hayes follows AJ to the floor. Hayes sends AJ into the announce table and Knight stands up and shows Hayes the title belt.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Hayes with a single leg crab and we see AJ being checked out during the break. AJ gets to the ropes and he kicks Hayes away. AJ with a forearm and kicks followed by a clothesline. AJ with a sliding forearm. AJ with a clothesline into the corner but he is clearly limping. AJ with an Ushigoroshi onto his bad knee. AJ holds his knee and the referee checks it.
The referee calls for the bell to stop the match.
Winner: Carmelo Hayes (referee stoppage)
After the match, AJ limps from the ring.
LA Knight gives Hayes a BFT while Hayes is being announced as the winner of the match.
We have a video package for the main event of Bad Blood.
Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano are in HALLWAY preparing for their match.
The dumpster makes its way to ringside, without any music, but with an entourage to push it.
We go to commercial.
Match Number Two: Michin versus Chelsea Green in a Dumpster Match
Michin tosses Green a kendo stick so they can each have one. Green misses Michin but Michin does not miss and she follows with a drop kick. Michin with a suicide dive onto Green. Michin sends Green back into the ring and she gets a chair and cookie sheet, along with a trash can. Michin becomes the favorite in Nashville by pulling out a table. Green goes for a suicide dive and Michin hits Green with a cookie sheet. Michin goes up top and she hits a missile drop kick that sends Green to the floor next to the dumpster. Green escapes and she sends Michin into the dumpster and follows with a super kick. Green sends Michin into the lid.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Michin is on the apron in front of the dumpster. Green with a forearm and Green misses a running forearm. Michin with forearms of her own and a tornado DDT. Michin with a German suplex. Michin goes for Eat Defeat but Green holds the ropes. Green with a Destroyer and she tosses Michin into the dumpster but Michin blocks Green's attempt to close it. MIchin hits Green many times with a trash bag. Michin gets out of the dumpster and she hits Green with another trash bag. Michin misses with the cookie sheet and Michin avoids UnprettiHER onto the cookie sheet with Eat Defeat. Michin puts Green in the trash can and she hits a back senton off the turnbuckles that compresses the trash can.
MIchin gets the table and puts it on the dumpster. Piper Niven attacks Michin from behind and hits a back senton. Piper goes for a cannonball against the dumpster but Michin moves and Piper hits the dumpster. Green with a running boot but Michin holds on to the rope to stay out of the dumpster. Green goes for a Saito suplex through the table in the dumpster. MIchin blocks a kick and she power bombs Green through the table and Michin gets out and she closes the lid.
Winner: MIchin
After the match, Green opens the dumpster and she has schmutz on her.
AJ is in the trainer's room getting his ankle checked out before he was sent to a hospital for more x-rays.
Naomi is in BACK and Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill show up to talk about Naomi's match but Naomi wants to talk about Jade and Bianca winning back the tag titles.
Bianca tells Naomi that she is joining them as the hosts of Bad Blood.
Bayley stops by to talk to Naomi before her match.
Bayley says she will call out Nia for tomorrow's match and Bayley says she will give Naomi the first title match.
Bayley walks into commercial.
