Shawn Daivari is at today's Friday Night Smackdown taping and has returned to the company as a Producer, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
Daivari, who was just working last week at the NWA TV tapings in the same role, had been let go by WWE at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the company ramping up a return to live events as they prepare to go back on tour next month, there has been a push to add more producers back in order to alleviate the workload across the board.
Since departing WWE last year, Daivari had returned to the ring, appearing for Impact Wrestling and Major League Wrestling, among other promotions. He's always been given strong marks for his work in terms of putting matches together and having a good eye for what needs to be done to get over the story of the match to fans from a producer's perspective.
WWE initially brought Daivari in as a Producer in January 2019.
As PWInsider.com broke last week, Molly Holly was at WWE TV last week, having been brought in as a potential Producer for the company as well.
