Fightful.com reported this morning that former lead Raw announcer Tom Phillips is the latest WWE departure, having been let go by the company.
PWInsider.com has independently confirmed Phillips' release, which went down in the last 24 hours. We are told this exit was not part of the firings from earlier this week.
Behind the scenes, Phillips was very involved in producing and managing other announcers for the company as Senior Manager of On-Air Talent. He had been with WWE since 2012.
Update 2:35 PM EST: Tom Phillips was at the WWE NXT taping this past Tuesday. Phillips appeared on camera to call this Friday's edition of 205 Live, which will be his final appearance for the company. He was also working behind the scenes as a producer on the NXT broadcast.
