Raggaeton music star Bad Bunny was at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida yesterday, PWInsider.com has confirmed
Bad Bunny was in the ring working out and preparing for a proposed future WWE PPV bout that would take place against The Miz and/or John Morrison later this year.
As PWInsider.com reported yesterday, there was a creative pitch for Bunny, a massive music star in the Latin market, to wrestle. He has been aligned with Raw newcomer Damian Priest on WWE TV and appeared alongside WWE Hall of Famer Booker T at this past Sunday's Royal Rumble PPV.
PWInsider.com was told that the expectation is that Bad Bunny will be wrestling but it would not come immediately. One has to think WWE has Wrestlemania in mind.
Bad Bunny is a massive star in the Latin market with tracks featuring Cardi B. and Drake, among others. His debut album earned a Latin Grammy for Best Urban Music Album. He has a massive Instagram following with over 30 million followers and his interaction with Miz and Morrison scored WWE attention on TMZ, Billboard and other outlets.
Bad Bunny was the first Latin Urban artist to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone last year and was part of last year's Super Bowl Halftime Show with Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, a performance that remains the largest viewed Super Bowl Halftime Show ever on YouTube. As such a massive name in the Latin music scene, this has great crossover potential for WWE.
