The word making the rounds backstage at the New Japan Pro Wrestling Resurgence event in California is that Mercedes Mone suffered a broken ankle during the main event against Willow Nightingale. We will update as we confirm more details.
Katee Sackhoff and Emily Swallow from The Mandalorian were in attendance at Resurgence, supporting Mone. Sackhoff plays Mandalorian leader Bo-Katan Kryze on the series and has had numerous scenes with Mone, who in the series' storylines, served under her as Koska Reeves. Swallow plays the Armorer and shared some scenes with Mone in the recently completed season three of the Disney+ series.

New Japan will present the first-ever NJPW Strong events in Japan on 7/4 and 7/5 as PPVs available on New Japan World for an additional price. The shows will be titled Independence Day.
