KNIGHT VS. SOLO, BAYLEY VS. IYO & MORE: 4/21 WWE IN FORT WAYNE, INDIANA REPORT

On Sunday April 21, WWE held a Sunday Stunner Event from the Allen County War Memorial Colosseum with the Smackdown Crew. Here are the highlights.

The opening match was Rey Mysterio vs Santos Escobar. Santos began by trying to shake Rey's hand to make up for the bad feelings. Rey was bated into it to be followed by Santos taking advantage. The match ended in a DQ win for Rey following interference by Legado Del Fanstasma. Carlito and Dragon Li ran in to make the save for Rey, which then turned into a six-man tag with Rey, Carlito and Dragon Li against Santos, Angel, and Humberto.

In the six-man tag, LWO defeat LDF when Rey pinned Santos following a 619. Very good match all around.

Bobby Lashley defeated Karrion Kross with a spear. Karrion tried taunting the crowd by calling the city, "Fart Wayne".

A-Town Down Under defeats the New Catch Republic to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships when Grayson Waller pinned Tyler Bates.

In a rematch from rematch Wrestlemania, Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair and Naomi defeated Dakota Kai, Asuka, and Kairi Sane. The match was much better than they had at Wrestlemania as they gave the women more time and let Jade show that she has more than one move. There were chants of "This is Awesome." The match ended with Jade pinning Dakota with the "Jaden".

During the intermission, Brian Saxton introduced the crowd to Helen Isaacs (sp), a self proclaimed wrestling fan for 75+ years who was celebrating her 94th birthday with front row seats along the entranceway. She predicted LA Knight would win the main event.

The Street Profits defeated the Authors of Pain with Paul Ellering when Montez Ford did a rollup on Rezar with his feet on the ropes when the refs weren't looking. Karrion Kross and Scarlett came to the ring to make their presence known, but when Karrion started to be too involved, Bobby Lashley came out to negate his impact.

In another rematch from Wrestlemania, Bayley defeated Iyo SKy to retain the WWE Women's Championship. Iyo spent a lot of time working on Bayley's knee to the point where you thought the match could have gone the other way. Iyo tried the moonsault towards the end, but no one was home, and Bayley capitalized with a small package.

In the main event of the evening, LA Knight Defeated Solo Sikoa in a grudge match with a BFT after tossing Solo through a table. Very physical match.
