SCOTT D'AMORE'S NEXT MOVE REVEALED?

By Mike Johnson on 2024-05-01 16:26:00

Billy Krotchsen sent word that there was a trademark filing last month for Maple Leaf Wrestling.

The trademark was for goods and services in the realms of "Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestlers and sports entertainers in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainmen for entertainment purposes."

The trademark filing is listed for the same corporate address as D'Amore's Border City Wrestling promotion.

D'Amore was let go by Anthem Media as President back in February.

Attempts to reach D'Amore last week and this week about the trademark filing and potential plans for the Maple Leaf Wrestling company were unsuccessful.

Maple Leaf Wrestling was the terminology used to describe the promotion run in Toronto by the Tunney family in the 1970s and 80s as the promotion ran the Maple Leaf Gardens.
