Variety covered plans for a documentary on Canadian wrestling promotion International Wrestling Syndicate from the Generation Iron Network. The plan is for the documentary to be released next year.
IWS was the original home of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn during their formulative years in professional wrestling and has been running events since November 2000.
Variety notes Vlad Yudin (“Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer”) will direct the documentary, which covers the promotion as its founders ( Edward Dorozowsky aka SeXXXy Eddy and Manny Eleftheriou aka Crazy Manny) prepare for their anniversary “super event.”
“The film will provide an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look into IWS while also chronicling the 25-year history of the independent but vastly popular promotion In celebration of the milestone, the film will culminate with exclusive footage from IWF’s wrestling death match and super-event.”
