Have you heard of there being any interest in bringing in Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas for a match with Jason Jordan and Chad Gable in NXT? They are obviously aware of the similarity, having alluded to it on air, and it seems like it would be a fun way to put Jordan and Gable over and have a great match.
No rumblings of that as of this time, but given WWE's penchant for using veterans in NXT, it's not out of the realm of possibility.
After watching the video from the WXW event, I have to ask.. Is that REALLY assault or just a case of someone working stiff and breaking someone into the industry? Stiff workers are everywhere and its come to be expected in a lot of territories.
Only the wrestlers involved will know for sure, but make no doubt about it, wrestling is not supposed to leave the marks and bruises that Raquel from TNA suffered. There's no way a novice model turned wrestler should be subjected to that. In the eyes of the law, the end result pretty much equates assault and if this happened anywhere but pro wrestling, it would be a crime.
Is it just me or the new Smackdown announcer really good? Excellent work on his first Smackdown broadcasts, especially during the Charlotte/Becky Lynch match. He really looks like he cares and he's not just there to hear his own voice.
It's not you. Mauro Ranallo has been an excellent combat sports announcer for years. He's always been a passionate pro wrestling fan, so of course that's going to shine through working for WWE. In my opinion, he's probably one of the best announcing hire there in years.
Why do you constantly complain Howard Finkel isn't a ring announcer anymore?
I don't constantly complain he isn't ring announcing. I DO point out and complain that he should still be the ring announcer when WWE comes to Madison Square Garden. He had the job for decades and while times change, there are certain things that should always happen for the sake of tradition - and Fink being the ring announcer in MSG is one of them. He's the best ring announcer of all time, including Michael Buffer- and should be treated as such. Yes, everyone gets older and WWE places a premium on younger personalities, but go listen to any class ring announcement Finkel has called for a main event match when it is time to proclaim the winner. Seriously, go close your eyes and listen. NO ONE can match that energy, enthusiasm and base in his voice. He's a national treasure for pro wrestling as far as I am concerned.
Why is Kalisto being pushed? I don't really believe one bump (at TLC), however impressive, somehow opened Vince's eyes. They're pushing him as the new Rey Mysterio, for the Mexican and youth markets?
The company was trying to make a new babyface. He's young, talented and would appeal to younger fans. Why not try to see if he can get over?
