VIP Wrestling Results:
Arlington, TX
"Love, Lies, and Lariats"
2/12/16

Pre show promo with Keith Roberts (the promoter) and JT LaMotta (the GM), Keith was banged up in a legit car crash so JT deemed him "unfit" to do his job, and then brings out a heel ring announcer.

1. Jerome Daniels defeated Bolt Brady in 12 minutes with the Kimura Lock. A good match between 2 local Texas talents.

They then announced that 6 teams would compete in 3 matches in a Beat the Clock Challenge, to become #1 Contenders for the VIP Tag Team Titles.

2. Vet Club (Tim Storm and APOC defeated BB&J (Bam Bam Malone and Jaxon Stone) in 9:08 minutes in a Beat the Clock tag match via a Wheelbarrow Facebuster/Cutter combo, which set the time to beat.

3. Sinn Bodhi defeated Markus Burke in 12 mins after the Double Underhook DDT. Sinn got a nice reaction from the crowd, and Markus really proved he could hang.

4. Scott McKenzie and Kristopher Haiden vs. Steele Money (Kenny Steele and Orion Taylor) went to a time limit draw, they failed to beat the clock.

5. Unholy Complex (Gregory James and Jason Silver) vs. Diamond Dogs (Graham Bell and Luke Langley) went to a time limit draw, as the Unholy Complex had dueling submissions on, but the Vet Club distracted the ref who didn't see the tap, causing the time to run out. The crowd got what they were trying to do, but the timing was a little off as far as how the finish was supposed to work. Therefore, the Vet Club became #1 Contenders for the Tag Titles.

6. Next, a wrestler named Marcus Rose came out and talked about how he was better than ACH (likely a storyline from a previous show) and then made an open challenge. Moonshine Mantell came out in a mask and squashed Marcus after 3 Gory Bombs. The crowd loved it because Marcus was annoying and got major heat.

Next JT LaMotta called out Ray Rowe and talked about what happened at the show in November when he won the belt, which happened when the promoter, Keith Roberts made an impromptu match between Ray Rowe and the former champ, Dirty Andy Dalton. JT LaMotta said that since Ray Rowe was a cheater and a coward, he was being stripped of the belt. Ray Rowe refused to hand over the belt until JT called for security, and then he took the belt and ran away. This led to the next match:

7. Raymond Rowe defeated Keith Lee in a great 18 minute match by KO with a Rear Naked Choke. Keith Lee continues to prove himself show after show and tonight was no different. Keith is a 295 pounder who has the athleticism of a cruiserweight. The spot of the night was when Ray Rowe went for a monkey flip and Keith Lee flipped out of it and landed on his feet. Overall a great match.

8. Jessica James defeated Bree Ann in a 9 minute match with a Big Boot. This was okay, it simply told the story of the smaller wrestler (Jessica) fighting the odds against the bigger wrestler.

9. Dirty Andy Dalton defeated Davey Vega and Johnny Gargano in a Triple Threat match that went 16 minutes. Dalton pinned Vega after Johnny hit the Lawn Dart and then Dalton threw Johnny out of the ring and hit a Piledriver on Vega for the win. Johnny was so over, and he was great to meet and see live. The crowd chanted for him to come back. After the match Johnny took the faulty microphone that hadn't been working all night and super kicked it and proceeded to pin it. The only concerning thing was that Davey had to be checked on by medical staff after taking the Piledriver, but he made it out under his own power.

After the match Andy Dalton cut a promo on Ray Rowe leading to a brawl. Moonshine Mantell turned heel and aligned with Andy Dalton when he attacked Ray Rowe.

10. Absolute Arrogance (Houston Carson and Ricky Starks) defeated Brian Cage and PJ Black in an 18 minute tag match. Carson hit a super kick and Starks hit Angels Wings to pick up the win on Black, in what I thought was a surprising finish. PJ and Cage looked really great, and were greatly appreciated by the crowd, but so were Starks and Carson. Two more guys on the Texas indies that aren't too well known, but they stayed with Cage and PJ every step of the way. Very good match, and then after the match the champs showed respect, saying that Cage and PJ were the best team they ever faced.

This led to JT coming back out saying he was disappointing in the champs for showing mercy on Brian Cage and PJ Black. He said that the Vet Club was going to get their tag team shot right now.

11. The Vet Club defeated Absolute Arrogance to win the Tag Titles. It was only about 2-3 minutes, and Starks and Carson did everything to fight the odds, but crooked referee Rick Manning came out to make a fast count for the Vet Club.

Overall it was a good show. It had some odd booking at times, but hopefully the babyfaces will all get their revenge. They announced a return date, March 4 in Ft. Worth, TX for a "VIPX" show. Which is hardcore themed and 18+ only. They announced the main event will be the one and only New Jack facing Masada in a Hardcore match.
